No, no Kansas is unbeatable. As dominant as the 1985 Georgetown hoyas. Doomed
This Kansas team would completely destroy the 85 Hoyas and the 16 warriors.

The Boneyard you used to know? Semi-intelligent? That doesn't like anything I remember and I recall 1998 and UNC.I expected some semi-intelligent conversation in this thread. I was obviously waaaaaay wrong. What the hell happened to the Boneyard I used to know?
Your scouting report was useless. Filled with blanket statements like if he shows up and he's a great driver ... Nothing detailed about selfs actions on offense or his pick n roll defense. Anybody could come up with your "scouting report" by watching 5 mins of Kansas.I expected some semi-intelligent conversation in this thread. Beak, it's good that you're here. It's hard to have this conversation in March when our teams are matched up.I expected some semi-intelligent conversation in this thread. I was obviously waaaaaay wrong. What the hell happened to the Boneyard I used to know?
Hey, Beak! Please start the Haiku thread again on Saturday, if you wouldn't mind.

Dew tell, dew tell... DOOMED!Funny story. As some of you may remember one of my hobbies is scambaiting. Scambaiting involves communicating with Internet 419 scammers and not only wasting their time but getting them to travel and closing their bank accounts. Over the years I have probably managed to close down around 50 bank accounts. Anyways, there was this one loan lad I had been baiting for over a year. Things had got silly, and to see how far I could push the envelope I introduced a character, Haiku Harry, who could only communicate in Haikus. I think my opening email to him was something like
Can you please help me?
I am in need of a loan
I heard you could help
I need lots of dough
About nine trillion dollars
To build a Death Star
And nonsense like that. I thought for sure I had crossed the line of silliness but he agreed to loan Haiku Harry the nine trillion dollars. Just as soon as Harry sent him the 2k insurance fee. No matter what character I baited him with and how much of a loan I wanted it was always 2k. I can't remember what happened to Harry. He might have met with a tragic accident (lots of my characters met with tragic accidents) or I might have got tired of always doing Haikus, but after a couple of months Harry went away. He was fun while he lasted though, and he showed me that there was nothing I could do that this lad would not believe.
Well when you come to an opposing teams message board and tell them they virtually have no chance to win. What do you expect?I expected some semi-intelligent conversation in this thread. I was obviously waaaaaay wrong. What the hell happened to the Boneyard I used to know?

Several players playing over there heads. Is a mighty tall task.....I don't recall saying that, and the fact is I was a regular on this board back when you were just a stain on your mommas sheets.

7:45 PM – CBS – Des Moines, Iowa
#9 Connecticut #96 Amida Brimah, Daniel Hamilton, Rodney Purvis, Jalen Adams
vs.
#1 Kansas #37 Cheick Diallo, #44 Wayne Selden, #45 Sviatoslav Mykahiliuk, #69 Perry Ellis, Frank Mason, Carlton Bragg, Jamari Traylor, Devonte Graham, Brannen Greene, Landen Lucas
Kansas is loaded with second-tier prospects, and for second-tier prospects to emerge, winning and production is paramount. Starting forwards Perry Ellis and Wayne Seldenare important cogs in Kansas' well-oiled offense, but their ability to slow down UConn's star Daniel Hamilton is one of the big things NBA scouts will be watching. Hamilton has the skill-set of a shooting guard, with his ability to create his own shot, play pick and roll, find the open man, and make perimeter jumpers. His average athleticism, which is reflected in his low 2-point percentage and his struggles finishing plays around the paint, is what pushes him more towards the forward spots in the college game, and his outstanding rebounding prowess and overall feel for the game frequently gives UConn an advantage even with him operating as a small-ball power forward (which Ellis will need to deal with).
Another thing to keep an eye on is Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, Kansas' first wing off the bench in their blowout victory over lowly Austin Peay. The 18-year old Ukrainian had possibly the best game of his career thus far, scoring 23 points in 24 minutes on 9-11 shooting. Will Mykhailiuk continue along those lines against UConn? Or was that just a flash in the pan against a bottom-tier opponent?
Kansas isn't great arty stopping gourds that get into the lane a lot. We need to not settle for 3s. Get into the lane, get them into foul trouble, and get some points at the ft line.
Of course we need or defense firing on all cylinders too.
The edge I like for us is the mental. I think our guys are feeling themselves and ready for Kansas. I think March magic has us feeling like we are peaking when it matters most.... Kansas I think will be thinking about our March magic runs and about how making it past the second round hasn't happened the last 2 years for them.
If they are tense, nervous and not playing their game and we are relaxed and confident then good things are going to happen for us. Exciting game for us, nothing to lose.
To be fair to Billy, they also choked a lot under Roy.We're ranked 23rd on KenPom. I get that Kansas is good, but you guys have choked A LOT in the tournament under Self.
The Pierce team losing to URI is about as absurd as you can get.To be fair to Billy, they also choked a lot under Roy.
I like pumpkins more than gourds.
In his defense, I would not want to be part of any club who accepts me as a member too. Moreover, when the war crimes tribunal comes for us, we can say it was all Beakum's idea!Let's not be dicks to Beak, who is the all-time best Boneyard visitor and sort of honorary Boneyarder (despite poor choice on where to live and who to root for).
The guy we can't lose track of is ex uconn target devontae graham, he is their best shooter who will log serious tick but he can also split doubles and attack in transition.

He was great vs George king, but really I'm unsure how the match ups will pan out. I think purv and Hamilton will be fine defensively today , I'm looking for sterling to play big today. He's got to stop the point of attack , Mason is one shifty dude and really darts around the court like a pinball. You want to put Hamilton on a guy we can't lose track of?
We are not meth headsFunny how we went from playing pot-smokers to meth heads.
