Kansas Post Game Thread

I was there from 1991-94, before we won any, and the Helms banners were up then. I think it is ok to hang them and display the plaques but not as "National Champions" as if they count the same.

They are understandably proud of the role they play in college basketball history. Naismith coaching and then Phog Allen, who coached two Kansas kids named Adolph Rupp and Dean Smith. So was effectively the origin point of all three of the winningest programs all time.
That's not what they do though. It's crazy they actually claim 6 national championships. It's one of the great basketball schools but this is pathetic and it cheapens them.

I know and as I said, I think that's a mistake.

My guess is that Solo didn't make the pass because he thought he was free and clear to the basket. He wasn't.
I think that's more the truth, imo. He's also had a couple of heat checks lately. I hate those with a passion. Do heat checks ever go in?

My post wasn't to question their accomplishments - it was to highlight that we've come so far that such a storied program is now in a position to aspire to achieve what UConn has.

And yes I agree they should be rightfully proud. They hold a very special place in college basketball history and continue their relevance through today.

All the more mind boggling that someone would think they need to stoop so low as to dig up helms trophies to prop them up I when comparing to UConn.

Really enjoy your write-ups. Keep them coming.

But, Braylon never committed to Indiana so Hurley did not have to flip him. He chose UConn over IU and NC.
Caught that a few minutes after posting and immediately fixed it. That’s what a 5 1/2-hour delay in the airport does to you. I thought the kid was Liam for a minute there.
