In retrospect we will see these good numbers. Impressive in a slop game

He closes out very well on shooters with height and length to contest the shot. His length seemed to affect their shooters a bit tonight.Mullins defense is also really good. He's often referred to as a shooter because he's so good at it but he's a complete basketball player. Knows how to navigate screens, shoots on the move, floaters, knows how to use the glass. Quick with everything he does both physically and mentally, a competitor. Enjoy him for this season before he's in the NBA.
That's actually what I'm most concerned about. We weren't able to get the ball into the post. It won't matter how good Reibe and Reed are if the guards can't get the ball to themI like how the Kansas board is more interested in taking shots at Hurley than praising the defense of their players. We were getting mismatches, but it seems like we struggled to get the ball to the mismatched players.
if Silas can become the player we expected, then watch out.
really hoping he can gain confidence during our conference schedule. that talent is there so just seems mental at this point.
This 100%. Mark it down.Alex is going to benefit so much with Mullins on the floor.
Yes. I still remember Ray's coming out party vs Virginia, we knew then and we know (about Mullins) now.
Props to KU for their switching defense. Bigger props to the UConn staff and players for figuring out how to beat it. And the biggest props for UConn's D, arguably their best defense half so far this season.
Totally agree - he’s making smart plays too.Once again Ross had a very good game. Big rebounds, 3 assists, a block, and very good defense. And only one foul.

He can back up Karaban for 5 minutes a game. LOL!Totally agree - he’s making smart plays too.
I honestly don’t know where we need Stew once Mullins starts. He legit brings nothing we need as I’m yet to understand what he’s good at.

As long as he’s not a GTD3-1 so far in our high-quality OOC matchups.
On to the trap game, then UF. UF isn't great but their bigs are a problem. Hope Reed is back by then.
Stewart can back up Karaban at the 4.Totally agree - he’s making smart plays too.

I dont know about Clingan-lite. I feel like Reibe is playing better than clingan as a freshman. More minutes, sure. But he just posted 12 and 8 (and good rebounds) at Kansas... in his 6th gameUh, no. Reed healthy is a top-3 center in the country. Reibe is just the Clingan-lite to his Sanogo.
Braylon is getting a lot of love for good reason, but wow was I impressed with Eric tonight on both ends of the ball. 12-8-2 blocks in 31 minutes! He made a great defensive play rotating over to force a miss on Kansas' last possession.
That’s the 5th time we played Kansas. We’re now 1 win and 4 losses. Of the 5 games played, how many were played in Kansas?
Stew is playing as well as he can but he is mistake prone / turns ball over / esp 2nd half of game and when his shots are not falling we have better options outthere.I think Stew was contributing well in other ways, but when we desperately needed offense, Mullins brought it. After that, I think Stew’s second half minutes went the way of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” while we were turning the tides. He’s still got a lot to offer this team even with a healthy Mullins and we’re still gonna need him to make it where we all want to see this team go.
