If it were an NCAA thing, this would be an accurate take, but this is an FBI investigation. They don't get tired, or consider something too big and start reducing sentences. They are happy to put 40 folks behind bars if they have the evidence. They don't give a rats ass if this is Kansas or The University of the Incarnate Word. They simply don't care what it does to college basketball. They care about whether crimes were committed or not. I get that at some point the NCAA has to start giving out punishments, but if they FBI whacks a school, the NCAA isn't going to be able to just sweep it under the rug.
