Finally, I think recruits are seeing that the Syracuse program doesn't prepare you for the next level.
What is the nature of the "scheduling alliance" and how does it impact NIL? Is this just another alliance to restrict competition for revenue of student athletes? Links?
I don’t think Syracuse would be willing to lose out on the 30 million a year or more that they receive from the ACC. I may be off but maybe they would lose 35 million? This is good for Syracuse in the long run. The more they lose now and the more discontented their fans become, the sooner Syracuse admits that they made a mistake with ACC basketball, and therefore the sooner they petition to rejoin the Big East.
I don’t know whether the alliance group would care about the Big East “aligning with them.“Two things.... 1) Syracuse is never leaving the ACC. At this point it would be financial malpractice.
2) I agree the Big East has to align with the new PAC12, Big10, ACC faction. The SEC has been corrupt and playing by their own rules for the last twenty years and they don't care about anything but football championships. The other conferences, at least, pay lip service to academics and tradition and one of the greatest traditions of all is the NCAA tournament. By the Big East aligning with the P5 conferences and Notre Dame, they maintain the power to keep the tournament intact.
The big East should join the scheduling alliance is like saying UConn should join the acc. Sure it’s great for us and our league but we haven’t been invited. The NCAA clowns with their corrupt leadership is ruining college sports.
This is why you don’t allow legislation like NIL and profiteering in this manner by college students because it turns them into amateur basketball mercenaries and corrupt opportunists. They can do that outside of college
The BIG EAST needs to join the scheduling alliance with the Big 10, PAC 12, and the ACC.
It is in UCONN’s and the Big East conference best interest to stay aligned with these 3 conferences.

Hope he Lands somewhere elseYou can't commit to a coach who doesn't make you feel like you're a special pick.
You mean playing for "Boeheim's Army" until you're 40 doesn't count???Finally, I think recruits are seeing that the Syracuse program doesn't prepare you for the next level.
Any gems? They’re on full meltdown over there
They did bring it to my attention that they basically have the #1 De-commit class w/ Dior & Lands, as well as the #1 transfer out class this year.Any gems?
Nope, especially when half the team never played for Syracuse! You mean playing for "Boeheim's Army" until you're 40 doesn't count???
Who cares? Literally nobody, except maybe UConn fans that have nothing better to do than worry about our recruits. We’ll get players. Some highly ranked. Some not as highly ranked. Some will be better than expected and some worse. Rinse wash repeat. Enjoy the luxury of having nothing bigger to worry about.Any gems?
LOLIt's a prediction of the future. Mark my words, within 10 years the entire world of college basketball will change. Syracuse will join a "within electric bus range" basketball conference. There will be much less flying all over the country to play basketball; the climate emergency will force the teams to play local schools. Syracuse will join what will become the "new, new Big East." Their fans will like it, and the carbon footprint of all their non-football teams will be considerably less.
Or like the American jumping up and down and yelling "We're P6! We're P6!!"The big East should join the scheduling alliance is like saying UConn should join the acc. Sure it’s great for us and our league but we haven’t been invited.

This alliance is all about football. There isn't a concern about basketball as far as this goes. The scheduling alliance is an attempt by the Big 10, PAC 12, and the ACC to stop the spiraling out of control Darwinistic and vulture approach that is being pushed by the SEC, and their collaborators in the media and business.
It is an attempt to maintain parity in college athletics, and maintain order from the instability and chaos being pushed on college athletics. This includes NIL, which only feeds this out of control vulture capitalistic approach, and will lead to monopolies and less parity. NIL only leads to more corruption and more pay to play for coaches and schools with students. This is not what any person of principle or intelligence should ever advocate for college athletics.
The Big East would be wise to aggressively join this alliance against the SEC or else it will be to our detriment as eventually this will affect us as a school and a conference. ESPN is not our friend and they are the main party responsible for this. .
Sure, the correct angle is to encourage kids to go to the highest bidder. Whatever school gives them the best deal. That's just brilliant.Your ability to be on the wrong side of literally every single argument is uncanny.
If it helps against the SEC attempting to own college football it will also help against what seems to be aggressive moves with basketball. It's no accident that Musselman, Oats and Buzz Williams have landed there in the past three years and look at their results. This alliance is all about football. There isn't a concern about basketball as far as this goes.

-> Reached by phone shortly after posting his decision on social media, Lands explained that he wanted to be recruited again so he could hear from coaches about his opportunities under the NCAA’s new legislation allowing athletes to profit off their name, image and likeness.
“I’ve been thinking about this ever since the NIL bill came out,’' Lands said. “I haven’t had the opportunity to be recruited in that way.’' <-
->Lands reportedly turned down a recent offer to sign a pro contract with Overtime Elite. He said he remains open to both college and pro opportunities. “College is still something I’m considering,’' he said. “Everything’s open.’' <-
