And that's the scary part- a lot of really talented pieces that haven't figured it all out yet (especially since Bria can't go). Just wait until these kids all understand what their role is.

They will be at full force against Baylor. Should be an amazing game. I saw several plays where Stewart or Tuck were in the wrong place or ran to the wrong spot. They will learn.

KML did a nice job today of playing within the game flow, not forcing her shot or forcing herself onto the action. Just hard-nosed play at both ends, a very balanced and solid effort.

And very effective on offense from lots of different spots on the floor, again. Way to go Kaleena!!

Kaleena is quietly “Killing Them Softly”. She’s doing exactly what she said she wanted to do this year. Be an all-around complete player…..not just a great 3 pt shooter. She wants to help her team win a national championship…and she wants to do her part by doing EVERYTHING well. Shooting, passing, screening, rebounding, posting up, solid, aggressive defense, etc., etc!!

She’s off to a GREAT start………..keep it going Kaleena! UConn Nation is with you.

I think Doty deserves a shout out. She's all around playing and moving better than ever before.

"UConn was in midseason form"

Gary Blair was quoted as saying after the game.
Little does he know....

Graves apparantly had a big game.
Holly is counting on her to produce immediately in a way that Geno is not with regard our kids.
And to her credit, she is beginning to take the team on her shoulders.
Good for her.

Can't wait for the dust-up with Baylor. Two great teams going at it, especially if everybody is healthy by then. With a little luck there will be two match-ups, and it is absolutely our turn for the NC.

Blair has it right, but by mid-season we'll be in post-season form, and by post season... Wow!

I must say of all of the UCONN players, I enjoy watching KML the most.

Great to hear. Miami is not very good. Overrated and will not see the top 25 again.

I said before the season that Miami is at best the 6th best team in the ACC this season. I put them in the group with UVA and Wake Forest. Those teams will battle for the 6-8 spots in our league this year. 1) Duke 2) Maryland 3) FSU 4) GaTech and 5) UNC.

if you think about it.
With the exception of Steff.
Everyone else on the team can play better; some much better.
and we still have our best guard on the bench.
I wouldn't be surprised if by the time we play Baylor, they really don't have a prayer
And everyone will know it.
If Geno can do his magic.
This team can be one for the ages.
And I for one am going to enjoy it.

This kid is stuffing the stat sheet:

17.5 ppg (tied with Stef for 1st)
Shoots 54.2% overall; 50% (7-14) from three. Leads team in 3 pointers made.
6.5 rpg average (2nd on team)
2.5 spg average (1st on team)
4.5 apg average (3rd on team)
Only 2 turnovers for a 4.5 assist-to-turnover avg (2nd on team)

Kaleena - doing her Maya imitation and doing it in an outstanding fashion!

and quietly I may add.....

My favorite play of today's game was KML sneaking in all the way from the high wing to the low bock for an uncontested layup off an inbound pass.
