Kaitlyn gets her own highlight video

Most important pick-up since Lou. I don't know how anyone can say she hasn't had in impact on this season. I want it for her as much as Paige. Both had outstanding careers that deserve a NC before they move to the W.

This is true but besides Paige and Sarah who else is willing to drive to the hoop and either attempt to score or draw the foul?

Not lately if fact she's been going across or into the lane and passing up her shot, instead of pulling up for a short jumper or driving for a layup she'll pass back out, check her out at 2:35 in the 3rd quarter of the USC game and get back to me...there were a couple other instances where she seemed hesitate in the last 3 or 4 games and tht can't become a Habit for her, Azzi's production is gonna be needed.
 
Kaitlyn was near perfect vs USC... She gave the team just what was needed, when it was needed. Geno trusts her to the max and she has steadily raised her confidence and already mature game all year. If she can maintain this level we're looking very solid going into the weekend.

Many moons ago I openly questioned why in the world UConn would go after a point guard, knowing that Paige, KK and Azzi were already going to cover that position. Even though Kaitlyn had a nice career at Princeton and could obviously play ball, it seemed like a needless redundancy when an experienced BIG was the glaring need (and still is).

I was wrong. It is remarkable how quickly and seamlessly she fit into the program. Not everyone does. Dorka really struggled for a while. Kaitlyn can get her own shot, she can drive and finish, she hits her FTs, she has to be respected from the 3 point line, she plays excellent on-ball defense and most importantly Geno gave her the keys very early in the season. He trusts her, her teammates trust her, and I'm so happy she got the experience of a Final Four run in her bonus season of basketball.

Wouldn't shock me in the least to see her get drafted by the WNBA, and she will definitely play professionally overseas if she wants to.
 
I just came across an article which reminded me that last year when Kaitlyn was looking to transfer, her decision came down to UCLA or UConn. UCLA would have been much closer to home. But, perhaps Carla’s influence nudged Kaitlyn towards Geno & UConn. :)

Lot of folks were asking why does KC keep going into the paint and getting stuck. The answer is because she was looking to kick out to shooters who hadn’t adjusted to her type of play. Most guards penetrate to score or dish to a big who may kick it back out. Usually, a post touch will collapse a defense. She proves you can do it with guards. Not surprised by her performance. She studies the game and provides what is needed. Howell is a decent physical defender, but KC pretty much gave her the business from start to finish. I noticed Chen and Geno having a pretty focused exchange right before this game. Would have loved to have been a fly on that wall. Stay bouncy, Kaitlyn!

KK certainly is not afraid of takin it to da Hoop!!!
