According to a tweet from PeachState and others.

Experts are predicting she'll announce to Georgia Tech.

Don't have any inside information, but hard to believe she'll choose Ga Tech over what has been her and her parents dream school Tenn. Her brother committed to Tenn and I'll be surprised like many others will if she doesn't follow him. IMHO Mercedes choosing the Lady Vols also has to help. Guess we'll find out this afternoon.

It would be a tremendous get for Ga Tech is she chooses them.

I'm thinking that Mercedes announcing for Tennessee wil actually hurt the Lady Vols in this case. And I don't want to get banned from the summitt, so I don't want to comment more, but let's just say that lady vol fans are not optimistic about this one.

I'm hopeful she will make the right choice here. Who in the world would want to waste away and fight for 3rd place in the ACC every year?

Agreed! Georgia Tech is a great school and Atlanta is a nice city!

Machelle Joseph is a great young coach and adding a player like Davis could push them closer to being a top tier team! IIRC Tech signed a pretty good
Recruiting class in 2012!

They did. And they have a excellent young guard in Sydney Wallace. I'm really hoping they get Davis.

We will see. I can't imagine her choosing a school other than Tennessee. Frankly, I always thought Mercedes had more potential, but that Diamond and Kaela were the better players at this point. ASGR doesn't post their rankings any more but Blue Star has DD as the #1 player in the class. Would Russell be more like Bone or more like Williams? Anyway, I can't see Davis choosing Ga Tech, but I get that Tennessee fans are nervous. Kenny Kalina thinks she will choose Tennessee FWIW...

I stated on this board that I don't think Davis goes to TN so I think GA Tech.

I think Tech is a great school. She could get a great education there. But, bottom line, she will get her butt kicked by Duke and NC pretty much every season.

Tech is building a program and a recruit like Kaela can go a long way toward that goal...but if she wants to play for national championships, then the choice is solidly clear.

What are the numbers on the onsite (SUmmiTT) poll saying, re: where she will go?

I don't see TN playing for "a" National Championship anytime soon, let alone National Championship"s".

She should have chosen UCONN

They are significantly closer to playing for championships than Georgia Tech. I am not one of those mindless drone fans that expects a UT championship each year. I know it's going to be a battle to get back to the top, but we are equipped to make a run at it. Even more so if Kaela chooses UT.

I can't post anything directly from the Summitt...Because it's a pay board now, Maria and co. have really cracked down on leaking any info. Just don't want to alienate anyone there. Rest assured though, we are not optimistic.

Tenn fans hope to land Davis, BUT if not, there won't be any imploding. She should go where her hearts desire leads her.

Well not according to any of the preseason polls. TN is only slightly better.

And if you hold to what you said for Davis, it doesn't really matter which one is closer, if neither are going to be playing for national championships. If she is interested in playing for NC's then she would not be choosing between TN and GT.

If TN lands Davis, their starting five in 2014-5 could be
G Massengale (Sr), G Tucker (So), G Davis (So), F Graves (Jr), C Russell (So)
with G Carter (Jr), F Burdick (Sr) + any frosh on the bench

That's a pretty good lineup; they could compete.

If you can't see the difference between these two programs, then nothing I can say will convince you. The talent level might be similar for this upcoming season, but that is where any similarities end.

It should be her choice and only her choice regardless of what the fans of a paticular college think. This is a very important decision for Kaela and noone should interfere.

I'm hoping for Georgia Tech.

Given the timing relative to Mercedes' announcement, I think Kaela chooses Tennessee. Ugh! Hope I'm wrong.

The important announcement--Erica McCall, on November 10!!

That's a lot of disrespect. In a couple of years the ACC will include Duke, UNC & Notre Dame and Tenn might have a hard time finishing 3rd in THAT league.

ALSO,
" The talent level might be similar for this upcoming season, but that is where any similarities end"

You see the last 4 years at Tenn as an aberation while others see it as a trend. Tenn had just as much talent in the last 4 years as they will have for the next 4. The coaches couldn't mold that group into a team, due in some part to injuries. Will they do better with this group without their HOF coach? It's a legit question.

I remember after DT graduated from UCONN and the Huskies suffered until Maya Moore signed. The only trend in women's basketball is dictated by signing top talent. Admittedly, we had very good talent in the last four years, but they were not stars. Star players win..period.

And i'm sorry if you took offense to my line about Tech, but it's true. If I'm a star player, I don't want to work my butt off at a school that has no WBB tradition, no WBB history, and basically no chance to win a title while I'm there. I would want to compete in front of a solid fanbase for a tradition rich program that will be visible all year long.
