I like everything about KO and I hope he stays forever, but not to put a damper on the party, should Brimah not get the 3 pt play vs St. Joe's it's round of 64 and the world is not quite as sunny.

thankfully I live in a world where Brimah converted the 3 point play, UConn won the game, and then they went on to win the championship. you're more than welcome to step out of the alternate universe where none of that happened and join us in enjoying this title run.

Yeah, seriously, you can say that about any team.

People may have missed this bu UConn had every game but ST. J. in hand at the 1 or 2 minute mark. Compare this to the year we had Kemba, Lamb, Oriakhi, and we had battles to the death against San Diego St. and Arizona, and even the Kentucky game was a little closer.

Heck, Kentucky got by 3 times with last second heroics against Wichita St., Michigan and Wisconsin.

I mean, UConn manhandled Villanova (2 seed), Iowa St., Michigan St., and Florida.

No no I'm enjoying plenty and KO deserves all accolades, and when the stars align like this I just want us to reap the reward at the recruiting box office because in his hands talent is going to be a dangerous thing.

If the ball bounces off Tate to the left instead of the right, UConn makes their 1st Final Four 9 years sooner. So what?

Yeah but if Shabazz doesn't score 21 in the second half against Villanova we might not win and if DeAndre Daniels doesn't have 27 and 10 against Iowa State we probably don't win. We were extremely lucky to make the Elite 8 and once we got that far MSU, Florida and Kentucky all played their worst games. Admit it, luck is what won us the title.

Is it too early to talk "Lifetime" contract with Ollie? Seriously. Coach K has a "Lifetime" deal at Duke. I'd like to see UCONN show him some SERIOUS commitment. After hearing him talk about 10 day contracts and "any moment" contracts, it would be fitting to give him lifetime security if he wanted it.

And I agree with Larry Brown. He can make his money and his legacy at UCONN. Zero need to coach in the NBA where selfish players like Carmelo Anthony tune you out and play no defense. Ollie is about hard work and dedication. The NBA, for more than half the league, is not.

I hope Phil Mushnik writes a mea culpa.

King's questions were great. A Mushnik question to get a response from KO would have been really great.

Yeah and should my face be more attractive, I'd be dating a supermodel.. I'm not sure what your point is.. doesn't matter what COULD'VE happened.. it only matters what DID happen

He should be offered 10 years $40 million.
People seem awfully fixated on maximizing KO's salary. Is it fear he might leave? He said in the interview that he's not in it for the money, necessarily. He's certainly due a raise. $4mil/year may even be considered fair by some. But he said he wants what's best for UConn and the kids. Why not just let them have the conversation and come up with an agreeable number along with safeguards for both sides? Maybe he'd be just fine with $3 million. Or whatever number. He sees the big picture though and it's not all max dollars for him. He's a real rarity.

I'd start the salary conversation something like this: Quite frankly, we bring in $12 million to the university, nothing to do with state funds," "We make $12 million a year for this university. Get some facts and come back and see me!'' "Get some facts and come back and see me!''

She soundin like she want KO to help her make a baby

Watch out. That's Oprah's best friend. You'll wake up with a horses head. But you're right. Seems like she wanted to interview Senhor Ollie next.

Superstar Coach, Brand spanking new Practice Facility, National Champs...can you honestly ask for anything else!? Two years ago we were clawing for something to go right...now look! Even if we are in the AAC for the next few years other schools are going to be trying to schedule games against us instead of us trying to call them

KO is about molding boys into men- and not just on the court. I doubt he wants a baby sitting job for spoiled multimillionaires. He wants his life to mean something- and making 3 million a year is enough for most people to get by on.

Also- KO's "never say never" comments are exactly what I would be saying if I was in his shoes and negotiating a huge 7 figure raise.

Also- Jim Calhoun is a genius.
