Tony, While I agree with what you said the reality is that LSU is going to be THE team going into the season no matter what you or I think so let the media fawn over them. SCar got the star treatment after winning their last and to me they played less inspired as defending champs. Going into the final did LSU even beat one top 10 team last season? Hey, they caught a break and played great in the final.

I like UConn in the underdog role. LSU is the best team and Clark is the best player.

Some big "ifs" heading into 2023-24 season:

Injuries to key players
Ice and Jana performing as hoped for/expected
Substantial improvement from Ayanna to be a #4 ranked recruit quality.

I think all of these can happen and when they do, can you say, Undefeated #12 NCs.

While I don't fear anyone, I see LSU, Ohio St and Ind in that order as our biggest challenger to #12. S. Car, Stanford and Iowa lost too much to be ranked in the top 4 and UCLA, even with Betts doesn't have enough or a good enough HC to be in the top 4.

One result I'm not looking forward to is the National POY who I think will be Clark. She will have to carry Iowa with a crazy number of points, while UCONN will have too much balance and depth for any Husky to beat out Clark
