Kaleena has had double-digit scoring in all but 2 games this season. One game was against Maryland, which was her first game back after sitting out with a concussion, and the other was against Georgetown, where she still hit 3 threes.

Kaleena is:
#1 in Scoring - 16.9 ppg
#1 in 3 point shooting - in attempts (83), in made 3's (42) and in % (50.6%)
#1 in Free Throws - 91.7%
#2 in Steals - 25, or 1.8 spg
#3 in Rebounds - 5.0 rpg
#3 in Assist to Turnover ratio - 1.8:1
(all stats include today's game)
and unofficially, I would estimate she's #2 on the team in getting a hand on the ball and disrupting the opponent's offense.

Kid is a sophomore. Man.

She is very efficient. Today, it was 24 points on 13 FGAs.

She's shooting .637 on twos, .506 on threes, and .917 on FTs.

I think she is an AA this year. Griner is the only player who is clearly better and possibly more valuable, in my view. I put KML in the mix with Elena, Skylar, Odyssey, and Chiney. I think she is outshooting Skylar by a large margin.

As Nan notes, she is hustling all over the court and becoming an all-around player. She's morphed into Kelly on defense, and Kelly has morphed into her on offense. Kelly is shooting .694 on twos and .489 on threes. Way better than even Bruinball hoped. :)

And it should be noted that KML has not been 100 percent healthy for much of this season... Can you just imagine?

I think Geno secretly changed labels on their water bottles before the first time out against Indiana University PA. Don't tell anyone.

First draft. Work in progress til season's end. To the tune of "El Paso."

"From high in the bleachers of Gampel Arena,
I fell in love with a Mexican star.
On the court was a sharpshooter whose name was Kaleena
Tossing balls in the basket from close in and far. . .

. . . out to the arc and even beyond it.
Trey after trey after tre-e-e-e-y.
Opponents would watch her, completely dumbfounded
As KML's shooting would make Geno's day.

[Stay tuned.]

Kib you may not be able to do your limmericks on signs at Gampel but you can sure do them here. Love'em
