I've heard good things about Nurse Jackie. The showrunner left Dexter (which was never the same after he left) to take over.

Also heard good things about Weeds but apparently it wasn't very good for very long; just a few seasons. I can personally attest that Dexter was the same way (although overall I appreciate the show for its nuanced themes and conclusion). Both are worth some of your time.

I like Homeland too.

This topic is kinda sad because it makes you realize how HBO just blows Showtime out of the water.

I have charter, and a TiVo. Charter wouldn't/couldn't get the Prius channels to work with the TiVo.

I have HBO with my Roku, and just added Showtime.

Forgot about Homeland. Excellent show. Masters of Sex is good, but the guy character is such a dick that I couldn't take it after 3 episodes.

I loved Californication, but something tells me that might not be up Tom's alley. Not an insult Tom!

If you like horror type of stuff, Penny Dreadful is really well done on several levels.

I loved Californication. It was on Amazon Prime, or Netflix. Can't remember.

I've checked out most of Showtime. I think I'll serial watch Ray Donavan and cancel. Showtime is nothing compared to HBO.

Hahah Nice. I pegged you wrong then. Apologies. The straight-man-shtick that you have to have with Boneyard advertisers throws me off.

Any of Shameless, Ray Donovan, Penny Dreadful, Homeland, and/or Dexter are solid. I liked Sleeper Cell from about 10 years ago (but it only got 1 season I believe, so I may be in the minority on that one). I initially liked Californication, Weeds, and Nurse Jackie the first few season, but for whatever reason lost interest over time. They were good at the time though.
