He'll definitely fit in with their offensive rebounding focus. The Houston bigs really don't do much else on offense, so some of his other downsides won't come into play too much, so I'd say it's a good fit. The defensive end will be a bit more of a struggle for him adjusting to a new system, but Sampson is a defensive teaching master, so it could certainly work out.Kelvin Sampson is pretty astute regarding players' potential.
Hopefully Josh will fit with Sampson's plans for him and has a great year.
?Best of luck, Jeff!

If Whaley wants another year he’d stay here.rique to wichita

Then Josh should fit right in there!"The Houston bigs really don't do much else on offense...."
Ends my dream of Josh seriously dating Olivia Nelson-Ododa. They could get together and miss layups, get married and have kids who miss layups, etc., etc.![]()
I’d love to watch him next year but I’ll have to beef up data package on my phone first.
He averaged 3 fouls in 20 minutes as a junior and a senior. Very hard to get minutes if he keeps up that foul rate—which was worse this year.he just needs minutes
Hurley had him high hedging like Whaley. Thats where he picked up fouls. Kelvin doesn’t run that D. Sanogo got burned in high hedge too. I like that D a ton with Whaley type playing it. Most 5’s are exposed though. He averaged 3 fouls in 20 minutes as a junior and a senior. Very hard to get minutes if he keeps up that foul rate—which was worse this year.
Per 40 minutes, he averaged
- 6.5
- 5.5
- 5.3
- 9.2
Fouls per minute.
He had a ton of fouls a minute under KO. In fact had fewer under Hurley the first two years. I'm willing to say that the high number of fouls may be due to his inconsistent minutes.Hurley had him high hedging like Whaley. Thats where he picked up fouls. Kelvin doesn’t run that D.
