We need this kid to be Ray Allen in the worst way. There’s potentially 15-20 shots per game for a scoring threat on the perimeter.

That chair looks like ....... won’t go there.

1. Great hops.
2. His head is at least a foot below the rim.

.-.
Can really put the ball in the hoop but I'm thinking he will be spending some time with Coach Mike. He is a skinny dude.

Full game. I'll probably watch tomorrow night.
Watching now. I really like these other guard/wing prospects DeMatha has this year as well. I know we’ve offered Rice. Surprised we haven’t offered ward. He’s a Hurley type player and all the usual suspects have already offered.

.-.
3. He's got the ball at the top of the backboard, with his arm bent.
He's just past the "chair"..Still 4-5 ft to the rim..Optical illusion but still impressive for a skinny dude.

This was Rice's best game that I've seen of the 5. I think he's a very good target for us. Bigger, strong guard that can handle but also shoot. I think the only thing keeping him from 5* status is he isn't super crafty getting to the rim and not an super elite athlete (but still very good).

They are kind of hiding him behind the two Hawkin's on D, but that's probably normal. They're both superior defenders and senior leaders.

  • Very quiet first quarter. Had a block and a missed three in 6 minutes--that’s it.
  • When he got benched after the stupid TO I show below, the other team went on a 10-2 run. Weren’t helping very well--Hawkins does a good job stepping in and making things difficult at the rim for guards. Guarding the PnR he’ll need to work on.
  • Wayyyy too much standing on offense. Doesn’t always look to be involved enough in the half court.
  • Got blocked twice.
  • Shot was off in a major way today.. Outside of the dunks his energy looked kinda bad because of it. Or maybe his shot was off because energy was low. Idk.
I thought this was a good defensive possession for him vs a much bigger player. Recovered really well after he made the mistake leaving his feet 5 seconds in or so

Draws a charge

This is what I mean by him dribbling more than once is a bad thing right now.

That’s a highlight dunk. Oh my word

This is really bad, lol. We aren’t getting Bouk at the rim yet, that’s for sure.

According to Nelson there’s only like a 2% chance someone under 7’ can dunk so it’s clearly an illusion
Well, Carlton can't dunk..... So adds validity to Nelson's stat... At least hi FT% is better than his layup %....

Syracuse
Probably not, I mean Syracuse will be on its list and they’ll be a thread about how great he is until he commits elsewhere. Then they’ll say Boeheim passed on it because of its academics.
