He's got some CT ties (think he spent at least part of his childhood in Waterbury, wish I still had the article that said this) and plays for a local travel squad.

As of now chances are still next to zero. He's an NBA guy right out of HS if the rule changes in time. Kentucky or Duke guy if he has to go to school. But, heck, Class of 2021 is still months away from picking up speed and being the main focus; a whole lot can happen. Worth keeping an eye on while managing the minuscule expectations.

E: seems he at least played in the Osgood Shootout with a Waterbury-based team. Not too well-versed in the local youth bball scene so can't speak to if that means anything.

If we could just take one player over the next two years...

Would obviously be a program changing land. He’s probably the best high school basketball player on the planet. Hopefully he wants to stay close to home.

Emoni Bates has something to say about that.

Bates looks incredible, but it's hard to say he's better than Kuminga.

Probably doesn't have to be asked, but we're just doing our do diligence, right?

College hoops is in a really bad place. These average SEC programs decided to get serious about basketball like they do football and are paying kids, their families, and their AAU programs out the butt.
Does it really make a difference if a kid takes a check from LSU or Duke? Seems like the same problem.

For us it does. We aren't beating Duke for recruits. L$U and Auburn we would beat for recruits before they were giving everyone cars and bags of money.

Hey, was it you who used to have the painted LSU girl as your avatar?
(Not asking as a comment so much as to test my memory.)
Or was it a Scandinavian flag girl?
I know it wasn't the dog.
