In 2009-2010, Lorin Dixon missed 10 games, while Kaili McLaren and Megan Gardler each missed a couple games to injury.Don't think we had one in 2011-2012. Nor 2009-2010.

Samantha asked about season ending injuries. In 2009-2010, Lorin Dixon missed 10 games, while Kaili McLaren and Megan Gardler each missed a couple games to injury.
Chong may be the second coming of Tiny Archibald. You can sustain one small recruiting class. Two in a row can be really problematic. It helps when the one player is really good, stays healthy, and doesn't transfer. After the really, really good 2011 class and the spectacular 2012 class, UConn can sustain the single-player 2013 class...especially since 2014 is shaping up nicely. And if Chong ends up being the second coming of Kelly Faris, even better.
A great example was the 1999 class, which only had KJ (who, in fact, transferred). This wasn't a big problem given the TASS(K) Force class of 1998 and getting D in 2000.

1) most freshmen don't start at UCONN 2) with KML, Stewart, Jefferson, Tuck and hopefully Stokes (maybe Banks) as starters, it would be really, really hard to break into that starting lineup.
The Freshmen may not see huge minutes their 1st year, but Soph year on, there will be lot's and lot's of minutes to go around.
ummm, that's what the rest said.but not the rest.
And the 2014-15 will return just 7 scholarship players. There will be a lot of minutes to go around for a player that's ready for them.

And you think it will be easy to break into that (KML, Stewart, Jefferson, Tuck and hopefully Stokes (maybe Banks) as starters) starting lineup????
Then who's starting?I said I agreed with the unlikeliness of a frosh starting.
I do not agree that (some) Frosh will not see big minutes.
Stokes (yet to turn the corner), Banks (recovery), and Chong (not played in college) have a lot to prove before I'd anoint any of them a future starter.
I think Geno can find a way to deal with a season of no injuries. Thanks for doing my thinking for me.![]()
