Geno's comments almost duplicate a statement (about UNC, when they totally dominated women's soccer), and which I have posted before:

"There are two kinds of [soccer] players: Those that want to play for North Carolina and those who want to beat North Carolina."​

Substitute UConn for North Carolina and decisions made by several recent elite recruits become readily understood.

Shhhhh! Don't tell Tonyc that recruiting is not as easy as you think! I think he said something along the lines of "UCONN simply recruits itself..."
