Today's attitude is that everything is mine, no reference to outside of oneself !
 
For some, yes, but not all. It is our responsibility as adults to teach, not just judge. Indeed, we need to start with ourselves as well.
Exactly. Children learn what is acceptable behavior from the adults around them.

The quick nature of media-think Twitter, and even Facebook posts--makes it harder for young people to sustain attention. There are still kids who get completely engrossed in things for hours, but that's usually interest, and not willpower.
