Yeah, no one is going to pass on Olajuwon. But is you draft him expecting to be that you're more than likely going to be let down.
Agreed, but I think he has the best chance to be a long time all star in this draft.

Do you take him over Wiggins and Parker given the health? Maybe not, but if you take a guy like Marcus Smart or Vonleh over him I think your making a major mistake.

If I have the #1 pick, I take Parker, because he's easily the least likely to disappoint.

Goodman has Embiid falling all the way to 10th!!!!

LMAO!

“I think there is a point at which you use a pick on him, where you’re hoping maybe these are just fluke things that are not going to be recurring,” one general manager told Sporting News. “But that point is not in the Top 5 or so. You can't use a Top 5 pick. I think there are too many other good options there to think about using the pick on one who has these injury problems.” But while Embiid’s stock will almost surely drop behind Wiggins and Parker, just how far he will slip is debatable. He is still a Top 10 pick, the GM said, pointing out that Anthony Bennett (shoulder), Alex Len (foot) and Nerlens Noel (knee) were all chosen near the top of the draft last year despite injury concerns...

If Embiid drops to the Celtics I will literally dance around the room on draft night. There's no way 5 teams will pass on him though.
One thing is for certain. You won't be dancing around with Embiid. And if Randle turns into a HoFer power forward. And if
Embiid's career is one and done like his college career, you will be crying in your beer.

And all of them did squat.

And all of them did squat.

That underscores the entire point of the discussion. No one with big injury concerns is going to do well in the first year. You are drafting for future, not now.

What future?

A lot "if"s here.

Every draft pick is a roll of the dice, no one knows if any of these kids will be good.

Take the best talent and pray for the best.

The more I hear Goodman talk about basketball the more I question how he has a job in that field. I heard him say Wiggins floor is Corey Brewer and his ceiling is Paul George.

It's amazing isn't it? I don't even get worked up about his UCONN analysis, but you just can't help remarking on his continuous stream of stupidity.
