315 yards rushing and 4 TDs against UCLA. Talk about pouring salt in our wounds...

UConn would never run an offense to allow him to do this. He did some pretty dumb off the field things in his time here. But he is clearly a talented football player at RB.

You're gonna get 5-6 guys saying they would've kept Joe Williams even if he had killed a guy.

... and they go in the tool box! I'm pretty sure it wasn't their credit card.

Great performance. If you missed it try to catch the replay. He's everything we hoped he might be when the reports were coming back from practice performances at UConn. Just watched it until my DVR ran out after the 55 yard TD run to put him over 300 yards. Wow. Glad for Joe but it seems a shame that we've had a number of recent transfers do well in other places.

Meanwhile, we still got Ron Johnson with Diaco calling run up the middle with UCF 9 in the box. Everyone can see we gonna get stuffed a mile away except for Diaco and our OC.

Joe William's talent would be wasted with this joke of staff.

Even if he stayed at UConn he most likely would have exhausted his last year of eligibility last year. So in what would have been his senior year for UConn he had 477 rushing yards for Utah. In reality getting as far away was probably the best thing for him. Hopefully it has helped him straighten out his personal life.

When Williams stopped playing for Utah, what was the issue or medical condition which soon after went away or was reasonably addressed?

Read into what you may (or may not): Utah RB Joe Williams retires, DE Kylie Fitts out with injury

>>"His body is just worn out," Whittingham told reporters Tuesday. "It has nothing to do with playing time or any bad feelings, he's leaving on good terms. I think you noticed in some games that he's just not the same guy. He has some things that are really bothering him physically so he's going to retire."<<

Joe Williams sparking Utah after brief retirement.

Just watched some highlights wow, great game for the kid. I remember when he came in his speed was discussed, good for him making it in Utah. He would have been wasted here, would have made sure Ron Johnson got his number of plays in instead of getting the ball to the impact guy LOL

Good for Joe Williams. We need to get back to recruiting that level a player. RKG's is a nice concept, till they too are being arrested for typical type stuff while contributing zilch on the field.

Went off for 222 yards in a bowl win against Indiana & Richard Lagow. Finishes his sr season with 1400 yds at a 6.7 ypc clip. Congrats.

At risk of attracting the "boo birds", I would love to see the combination of Edsall's coaching and PP's recruiting (along with Edsall's recruiting). If PP didn't have to worry about that whole player development thing or game planning thing, he would have been pretty good...
