I wonder if Bill Belichick is thinking to himself what the hell did I get myself into?
Nah - in this day and age they can rebuild through the portal in no time. If anything, he’s probably licking his chops. He’ll be able to say “I took over a program that was dominated by UConn and look at us now”

No but I do wonder if he's having 2nd thoughts of having Freddie Kitchens on his staff. Belichick wasn't even there because he knew UNC was gonna get dominated.

Mora really is building a culture, he got Cam Edward's and Pryce Yates to withdraw from the portal the 2 game MVPs. Skyler Bell may even stay even if he leaves he still played in the bowl game. He's getting guys in the portal and more guys will be interested now. He's building a Hurley like culture, of course football is a whole different animal.

Correction Fagano was offensive mvp not Cam, although was also deserving of it.

I’m a basketball fan first, but root for football because of what it can do for the basketball program and the school. Really hoping that football can have another solid year next year and open the door to a non-ACC P4. If revenue share starts and sticks around, think it’ll be imperative

So this makes Mora Jr. The highest paid G5 coach (tied with Alex Golesh at USF lol)
Not to be that guy…but he isn’t a junior. I am amazed how long he has been coaching football and announcers still get this wrong.

They know Shaky but it's become shorthand to distinguish the two in an instant.

I don't want to be that guy either and I assumed Coach Mora was not a Junior. I don't believe he uses Junior in his name. However, I think it is actually up to the individual as to whether he wants to be named "Junior" regardless of his exact name. Announcers may get it wrong or they may just use Junior to distinguish between the two. I've seen it written that Junior is appropriate if the first and last names are the same. In the end I think it's a matter of choice. So it may be fine for announcers to use Junior if only to distinguish between the two.

I have never heard ot that. I know on his wikipedia it says he isn’t a junior. I tried to search and everything I find says all 3 names have to be the same.

“Current etiquette authorities insist that the Jr. suffix1 should only be bestowed if a
male child is given the same exact forename, middle name, and surname as his father
if he is still alive (Miller, 1962: 393; Post, 2004: 321; Tuckerman and Dunnan, 1995:
636).”

I knew Mora was a home run the instant he was hired. If UConn gave him the tools he would gladly retire here. They did and he will.
I did not know that. Same age as HCPP and HCRE2 0 when they took over. But it quickly became apparent that he had a much different skill set.

I was concerned about his time away from college football. Especially with all the recent changes. Would he be able to adapt to the new environment?

A resounding yes! He is the anti-Edsall!
