UConn is playing very good basketball. There were plays in Saturday's game that were absolutely astonishing. Their two losses have been to worthy opponents on the road.

I can understand why they feel this way. They had leads on both teams and should of won. However, I do understand that they are a young team and this is what happens to young teams. I doubt Geno or the rest of the team will ever use this as an excuse. But anyone can argue on either side and make a valid point.

I'm encouraged by the fact that Geno wants the team to focus on the positive aspects of the Baylor and ND games. That tells me that in his mind there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the team, and as we all know he sets a very, very high bar.

boy those were some great quotes. i really enjoyed reading the paragraph of Geno quotes at the end. he certainly has it in perspective on how to motivate this particular team, at least i think he does. not to dwell on the negative, but that we are the only team in America who was up 11 on Baylor and up 4 at ND with 2 minutes to play.

and it's great to point out that sure there are things to work on, but it's not like they were stomping some lower level BE team and then lost the game.

Fine article, Geno is a smart guy and will likely use this as motivation to create the killer instinct that all great teams have.

GO UCONN !!!!!!!
