Successful? Not so much lately. I suspect TOSU was embarrassed to host NCAA's without a team in the tournament. This is a bit of a surprise for a well established and successful coach. And they get to pay him for another 4 years. Dont know his age but that seems like a nice segway into retirement if he chooses.
I seem to remember reading somewhere that Geno and Foster coached together somewhere along the line. His coaching obit in the Washington Post noted that he was from Philly.
I didn't know that. Another Philly coach!

Heres some info on Sadie. Shes a combo guard, slasher, penetrator and very good ballhandler who can run the point.
You win - I forgot Geno was holding down 23 part-time jobs while he was getting his undergraduate degree at West Chester College.Foster: "The man who gave Geno his first job coaching females, first in high school and later at St. Joseph's"
CD? If not Ohio State, who?Hmm, I wonder who will be on the list?
Niele Ivey? Susie M Serio? Jim jabir? Quentin?
The Official UConn Bio lists him as graduating West Chester in 1981. He coached at Virginia from 1981-1985. His other gigs must've been part-time.To beat a dead horse I think he graduated '77 and asst. coached St Joes 78 and 79.
Not just a post in search of a thread, but a post promising "info" on Sadie. I made several futile attempts to find a friggin' link. LOL!!The TonyC post in the middle of all this is a riot...we should start doing that from time to time..a post in search of a thread....the non sequitur...loving it!
