Struck out 9 in 5 innings last night now 4-1 with era below 2.0 since being called up from AA. He was a high school teammate of Matt Harvey at Fitch in Groton. Went to VTech. Arm injury, surgery and rehab has kept him from advancing til now. Was originally a Rays draft choice.

Not sure but he played HS in Norwich for NFA.

Another little known SE CT baseball fact...Paul Konerko grew up in Norwich....moved to Arizona in like 8th grade....
