3uconn said:Huge target for the staff. They showed that to him tonight by going full staff for him. This is the first time they've done that all high school season for any recruit unless I'm forgetting something. Here's his most recent video. It's from January and all of the highlights are from one game. He's been having a huge year: YouTube Video
I go back to his quote that he made a couple weeks ago about UConn, "...they have alot of big men". Not sure how our situation is any different than Georgetown, Dickerson is gonna play alot of 5 himself since they already have Derrickson in the fold and then both Copeland and White are really college 4s. They have a really talented frontcourt but there is going to be a battle for minutes there. I have to give JT3 credit, boring offensive system and his squads don't win anything in the postseason but he hauls in alot of talent.
There are a ton of big men at Georgetown. When Govan gets there as a freshman, these will be the guys:
Centers
Bradley Hayes 7-0 Senior
Noah Dickerson 6-8 Freshman
Jessie Govan 6-10 Freshman
PFs
Trey Mourning 6-9 Sophmore
Isaac Copeland 6-9 Sophomore
Paul White 6-9 Sophomore
Marcus Derrickson 6-8 Freshman
That's 7 guys for two positions.
UConn, meanwhile, has a junior in Amidah Brimah at center, and two power forwards, one a senior in Phillip Nolan and the other a sophomore in Rakim Lubin.
My eyes are going squirrely on this.
After they just watched 3 of the last 4 national champions win with dominant guard play...I am having trouble understanding Gtowns recruiting strategy.
They have:
15
Dickerson - 6-8 PF
Govan - 6-9 C
Derrickson 6-8 PF
14
White 6-8PF
Peak 6-5 SF
Copeland 6-8 PF
Mourning 6-8 PF
Campbell 6-1 G
One guard with 8 scholarships?
They also have on book for 15-16:
Smith-Rivera 6-3 G
Hayes 7-0 C
Cameron 6-7 PF
I guess they have 2 scholarships still open but that's a lot of 4-5's and not much guard depth at all. They better hope they get Trier and Smith Rivera doesn't leave early.

8 guys, I can't see Cameron as anything but a PF. Even their only SF lacks ball handling skills (Peak). It's just an odd roster. They need two stud guards.
yea, as impressive as their frontcourt is I would never want to see a UConn roster constructed like that. Give me stud guards/wings with some athletic & rangy bigs all day/every day over that roster composition. Obviously a balance of both would be nice, but I have confidence in Brimah and Facey developing into at the minimum valuable contributors if not studs(Brimah already is the former), in addition to whoever the staff gets for '15 as their big.
