Jermaine Samuels doesn't play for Mass Rivals; or at least he wasn't when I saw him play for Expressions Elite last month. Mass Rivals actually played the same weekend but we're headlined by Makai Ashton-Langford and some lightning quick guard play.
That said, Samuels played exceptionally both days and you could argue he was the best player in the 10th grade division. Playing a level above his actual age he teammate Kimani Lawrence, also a freshman, dominated the court offensively. It seemed the two could get any shot they wanted.
Fellow 2017 potential target Tremont Waters was also impressive playing in the 10th grade division as well
