Yeah, there's an ESPN article saying that Ollie, along with Tom Crean, was one of the first coaches to reach out to him. Kansas seems to be the favorite to land him though.

Lyle has spoken with Indiana's Tom Crean and Connecticut's Kevin Ollie since announcing his decommitment. Memphis, Arizona, Baylor and Kansas have also expressed interest.

In the ESPN article on his de-commitment they said the first coaches he spoke to were Crean and KO, seems like he is Kansas bound as long as they want him.

We did the night he decommitted, but I don't know the extent of his interest, or ours or that matter, if we are truly closing in on Newberry

I'm thinking it's a depth perception trick. Like how you can use a little mini-Eiffel Tower from the gift shop and put it on a railing and make it look like it's the real Eiffel Tower in some place random like Poughkeepsie.

He could be only 2 feet tall, but standing really close to the camera in Gampel.
