Nobody would dispute that. But we have a much better shot at Newberry than Lyle.

I'm really hoping KO can persuade him this weekend. Things usually end up working out in the end for us, hopefully this is like a DD last-minute situation.

Since football has worked against us in all this conference realignment crap why not use it to our favor in recruiting Newberry? Point out that Uconn is a BASKETBALL school first and foremost. At OK St football gets top billing and everything else comes in second.

T Boone Pickens will just pay off anyone involved to make this go away. It is already being discredited and swept under the rug.

Lyle is above the other PG's we are recruiting, but How about Cassell vs Newberry vs Graham? What's the consensus?

Can't say I've seen more than highlights of the other two, but Cassell Jr is pretty good, an would love to have him. If the other two are better that's fantastic.

the only downside to cassell jr is the possibility of seeing his old man's ugly mug at games. other than that, even if his game simply resembles his father's, id take him over newberry and graham in a heartbeat.

I can be there during his ok state visit and follow him non stop in full orange okstate gear. id mention that if he came id follow him religiously and be his special friend.

If you were truly a UConn devotee, you would show him a puffy, red, scabby just-inked ugly tattoo of him wearing a Cowboy uniform on your leg .

Of course how many times did they show the NBA fathers in the stands for Michigan this year, it's pretty good exposure. How have none of UCONNs greats had D1 worthy kids yet? Are they all too young?

Donyell Marshall's son Paryss maybe - he's 16 and plays hoops? His older bro, Marquis, is a frosh at Towson and had visited UConn last year... there are some other Marshall kids in the pipeline too...not sure if they all play and at what level...

I think all others are too young...

Think Paryss is a football player first.

Cliff has a son in the Portland area I believe, there was a post on him in the summer during the AAU periods.
