Raymello Murphy and Bryan Parham wearing the honored #6. I don't really understand it... thought this was supposed to mean something? Both these guys just joined the team. They should be giving the #6 to Rosa or Edwards.

I believe the idea of reserving the #6 jersey was intended for the defensive side of the ball. However, it seems that the entire concept was abandoned last year, as the #6 jersey was worn by two players coming from the transfer portal on both sides of the ball. Neither saw much time.

I'd prefer the tradition continue... but that's also on the university for not making it a big thing. They should to touching a big metal 6 on the way out of the tunnel.

I guess that the athletic department feels that the obelisk in front of the jumbotron is enough tribute as UCONN has never retired a football jersey number...

FWIW I'd rather see that moved to the field coming out of the tunnel and the space around it better utilized. I'd just reach out to Jazz's family and the people who worked on it and make sure they were good with it.

Same here.

Players touching it while running out of the tunnel or something to that effect.

I think they still have the Jazz Howard quote coming out of the locker room, "Play each play like it's the last play you'll ever play", correct?

Yes.

I get the notion was let's have it where the fans can see it too, but it's pretty much ignored now, except for people occasionally putting their drinks on the base.
