Some kids aren't designed to come off the bench long term. Hopefully he finds a great spot to start and shine. I'll be pulling for whomever that is.
 
First transfer I’ll really be following and rooting for.
We really need to close on NK now but if we do the rotation makes a lot of sense:

Demary 30 / Transfer 10
Ball 25 / Mullins 15
Mullins 15 / Ross 25
Nik 25 / Landrew 15
Hines 30 / Transfer 10

30: Demary / Mullins / Hines
25: Ball / Ross / Nik
15: Landrew
10: Transfer PG / C
5: County
 
I guess that means we will actually sign a player or two in the portal. Really sad he's leaving. I thought he'd be a star here and it never really happened. He made some huge shots for us in his three years.
 
Man, Stewie stuck it out, but could never get momentum or crack in as a starter. He had a game but just never got rolling. Hope he kills it for a lower level P5 school. He’ll be Uconn fam forever - his pops too. Much love Stewie.

Stew going portal likely preceeds a Mullins or Khamenia announcement. Guessing it's Mullins. I'd be fairly confident we are getting both of them.
 
Stewart showed glimpses of being really good but was never consistent. If we are going to win another title we needed to upgrade the roster. I wish him the best and enjoyed his hustle and energy.

Best luck moving forward and thanks for what you helped UConn achieve the past three seasons.

Hope he finds a landing spot where he can get those 25mpg every night.
 
Selfishly, I wanted him to stay but totally get why he needs to look elsewhere.
I'll miss the Jamar interactions as well, they definitely bleed blue. I'm sure it was an emotional decision for the family.
 
Will never forget or ever stop cherishing his freshman year in the BET finals when he came in and caught fire from three to bust the game open. Always gonna have love for ya Stew, such a difficult decision I can only imagine !

He just didn’t have the leash Mullins had. Mullins is known as a shooter who can get away with taking contested 3s on a consistent basis because the trust our coaching staff had with him taking that shot.

Stew couldn’t get away with doing that and missing. He had a more inside out game it seemed coming in as a recruit but he never had much of a role here to show that.
 
Wish Stew the best wherever he ends up. We could always count on him for a 3 and some critical rebounds. I understand his wanting more PT, but will miss him.
 
This is sad. No one is going to announce an official commitment to us today due to this. Probably be 1-2 days out of respect
 
Odd, I was driving home thinking about a post about how special Seniors are and can be talking about the upcoming year with Ross Ball Stew and DeMary. Not so relevant now.

Respect Jaylin so much for staying his junior year, when it was clear his PT would be limited with AK, Braylon, and Solo definitive starters.

Hope to see him put up some good games wherever he goes. I could see him back in the NW at Gonzaga, Oregon, or Washington?
 
Damn, really sad about this one like the responses before mine. Saying it now, not a single negative post should be tolerated in this thread.

Jaylin has done everything the right way, is a National Champion, and a Husky for LIFE. As much as we all hate this, I feel worse knowing he probably hates it more than all of us combined. He will do great things at his next stop and in life in general. Talented basketball player, amazing teammate but an even better young man. Keep rising, kid.
