Theoretically Uconn could roll into next season with a starting lineup of:

Demary
Solo
Ross
Stewa
Reibe

That would be a 4 senior lineup and a lot of continuity. Furphy, Landrew, County, Portal 5, Portal PG off the bench.

Hard to know if this is a slam dunk or not.
I hope not, going to need a big time transfer otherwise team won’t be nearly as good as this year’s version. Team is losing an awful lot of firepower

Disagreeing on how much you expect a player to improve does not mean you think a player can’t improve. May shock you but improvement is not a binary outcome. If I say I don’t think Millender will become an all-American, that doesn’t mean I think he can’t improve.

No. This is a common theme on the BY especially when discussing next season's line ups in the off season. This player can't do this and this player can't do that, never allowing that this player may improve on this or that. Read the BY. It has gone on ad nauseam for years.

BTW, your Millender statement has nothing to do with my post.

I take a pessimistic view of Butler this season. I think they will not make the tourney, and wind up around 6th or 7th. Two guys to worry about in Biz and Ajayi.

That said Judging Ross off a performance vs them seems premature. We played a gauntlet of OOC teams and while he played better than some than others he had nowhere the impact as he did vs Butler at home.

Not trying to knock him just my perception is lets wait and see vs St. Johns for example.

If you ask me, Ross is a mix of Kemba Walker, Corny Thompson, Ben Eaves, Hilton Armstrong, Lyman DePriest, Sam Funches, Johnnie Bird, Yarin Hasson, and Donyell Marshall.

He can be a star as a senior if he thinks he can be.

This would be the idea. Landrew can serve as the backup 3-4 but wouldn’t mind another backup portal 4.
Would be an interesting roster next year as the freshmen class is so weak, you will not be seeing a lot of impact there. All the studs this year will be off to the draft. The Duke's, Arizona's, BYU's would go away and unlikely to replenish similarly. We would be old and cultivated, and pretty big. Just not a lot of NBA talent on that roster - whether that's needed is the question. Contenders next year will really be about what top non-draft kids do in the portal and if they collate into one program.

What Scheyer does will be interesting as he's been constantly leaning on these stud freshmen to lead the way. If Boozer, Evans & Ngongba all leave, will be curious to what he does. There is no Boozer, Flagg or Kneuppel in this class.

Purdue is going to have to reset as they lose Smith/KDR. Michigan will be losing their top talent. I can see a team like MSU being up there preseason with kids like Fears & Carr coming back.

We're actually set up really well for next year.

.-.
what are we talking about???? Ross is here. Andre is not. I will concentrate my thoughts on Ross, who is a defensive force and can be a catalyst for energy off the bench when we need it. In this past game, our opponent had no answer for his energy. Why compare the kid to an all time great Husky like Jackson? Ross is coming along. We can only be so blessed to have this kid approximate the impact that Jackson had on our teams.
