Time will be the ultimate judge of course, but we may not have to wait all that long for it.
Ross might not score a single point in his next game, but still could be a big difference if he can stay between AJ and the rim and just make Dynabasta take tough shots, without getting into foul trouble. I love J-Stewart, but while he has the strength, his lateral quickness or lack of defensively is going to be exposed by the BYU frosh. Would love it if I'm wrong on that point, but we'll find out in a few days.
Still, Ross could have a big impact on the game. The question will be whether it is positive or negative.
Finally, I agree that the opposing talent level so far has not been illustrious. But, he seems to have slowed down a step and seems to understand the offense better. His first two years he would move the ball and make passes, but it looked like it was because that's what he was trained to do in practice instead of reading a defense and really trying to keep a defense moving, which of course, is when breakdowns happen.
