What way do you feel I'm affected? Is it wild I thought the team could improve from moving on from bench player that didn’t get any significant playing time down the stretch?

Did his fourth and fifth fouls called look like fouls? I didn’t see any contact on the fourth. The fifth looked like an all ball jump ball. More weird with the fifth was the ref calling the foul was situated at the player’s backs.

You are quickly approaching HW611 levels of blindness for Jayden Ross, where he can never do anything wrong. He's a much improved defender this year, and those were fouls. It doesn't need to be mutually exclusive
Last year he had 14 points and a nasty dunk against New Hampshire and people were throwing out Reggie Lewis comps. Let's see him do it when the lights are on.
I thought the 5th was a jump ball, but 2-4 were fouls to me.

I actually agree with alphasicko. Ross needs to stay out of foul trouble. The question was asked because I didn’t see those two fouls. Check out @auror response to me. It answered my question.
I call foul with your response. Yes I’m participating a lot with Ross threads. If that annoys you so be it. I don’t feel the need to point out his mistakes. I’ve observed them. There are enough posters that can’t see his progress, his potential, and how he helps the team. I’m choosing to balance that negativity with Ross’s positive attributes.

Fouls 1-3 were probably fouls.
#3 at 12:20 on a frame by frame doesn’t look like much. But Breeding calls the foul from the baseline with an obstructed view and claims Ross was holding the body. The TV camera angle shows nothing of the sort. But perhaps Breeding had a better view. Maybe.
#4 at the 11:10 was a pretty weak call. Columbia guard drives and initiates contact with his left elbow. From the only camera angle they showed it from, I watched it 5x and if you think that’s a defensive foul, I’m not sure what to say.
#5 foul Ross gets a ton of ball on the help D after Reibe’s man blows by him to the hoop. This is a 50/50 call based on how the refs decide to see it.
These were not “stupid” fouls

Some people are going to look for any little reason to bring Ross down because of me unfortunately. To the point they'll say ticky tack calls on our own players were reasonable.
Next year in 26-27 srason I think Jayden Ross and Jaylen Stewart will return, be the leading scorers, and potentially 1st round NBA draft picks.
Columbia guy gets Ross's momentum going the other direction, and Ross impedes with his extended arm bar to the guy's neck. It's a clear foul. Ref is looking right at it with a good angle.

No denying the athleticism. Highly enthusiastic and motivated. When he gets Ray Allen's comment which I have always liked "Play hard but stay calm" he will take everything to another level. That line has the wisdom to help everyone. Choose to play as hard as you can but the wisdom to not lose control of your emotions. Calhoun used to refer to it as "impose your will (mind goals) on your opponent" Intellect (understanding the situation(s), will (decisiveness and follow through). Singlemindedness. Everyone can always improve. "Everyday Ray" (practicing his shot every day). LOL Calhoun referred to as almost like an obsession. Not an obsession though because not mind disturbed by emotion.

Thing is, the ref doesn’t blow the whistle until 2-3 more steps/dribbles have happened. Your frame grab is at the 3pt line. The whistle happens near the lane. So maybe it was a real late whistle on that contact.

IMO THIS is a "stupid" foul. Especially when the player already has 3. If his arm were a bit higher, it would probably have been called a Flagrant 1.

Time will be the ultimate judge of course, but we may not have to wait all that long for it.
Ross might not score a single point in his next game, but still could be a big difference if he can stay between AJ and the rim and just make Dynabasta take tough shots, without getting into foul trouble. I love J-Stewart, but while he has the strength, his lateral quickness or lack of defensively is going to be exposed by the BYU frosh. Would love it if I'm wrong on that point, but we'll find out in a few days.
Still, Ross could have a big impact on the game. The question will be whether it is positive or negative.
Finally, I agree that the opposing talent level so far has not been illustrious. But, he seems to have slowed down a step and seems to understand the offense better. Please. What you see is what you get. Ross(and Stewart) are good guys on a good team in a great program. Continued development will enable them to make significant contributions to Big East and NCAA tournament runs. Does anybody see a draft choice in either of those 2?

JRoss is just beginning to get extended minutes. I assume he will adjust as the season progresses. But would hate for it to come at the expense of his energy and activity.
He blows the whistle ~0.8 seconds after the contact. He's dribbling as the contact happens, and then the contact causes him to make a loose 2nd dribble backwards which is one of the things the ref sees and causes him to make the call.

At the just past the12:22 mark, Ross defends against the entry pass. Note that he does have his arms on either side of the player. FWIW, Breeding lets this go (a 50/50 spot, Ross is not holding the Columbia player, but strictest interpretation of fouls could consider calling this. Though this sheet happens 1,000 times a game.)
Note that Breeding lets that go. Over 12 frames later into the 12:21 zone, they disengage to this position:
