I like his game a lot, from what I've heard he's a fan of UConn and is friends will Ollie's son, I'm sure he'll be a guest at midnight madness.

I've seen him play a few times in the last couple of years. He can shoot the ball pretty good but prefers to slash and drive. At this level his strength is taking it to the rack and finishing strong and high. He's very strong for his age and absorbs a lot of contact. I think if he focuses on his ball handling and jump shot a bit more, he can really be a player at the collegiate level.

He reminds me a little bit of a right handed version of the former Marquette player Darius Johnson-Odom. He doesn't shoot like him but both are really strong and attack.

He had like 10-11 3's, upwards of 50 pts in a conference playoff game last year. If he keeps progressing he'd be a great get for UConn. Pretty well built for his age/size.

Kid is plenty good enough. Video doesnt do him justice kid is built like a man already almost wayne seldon like Was better then KI last year in my estimation. Had heard some talk of Oak Hill or someother prep in his future. That was just gym talk though no credible source on that

JWF plays on the Windsor team with our young Boneyarder, HuskyWarrior, who gave him high praise for his potential and the strength, skill, and athleticism he showed as only a sophomore (I believe) in high school. If he keeps growing and developing, he could be an elite level recruit.

I am going to check out Frame tomorrow night. Windsor plays @ Wethersfield. My dad spoke briefly with EJ Crawfords dad at the Simsbury/Newington game last night. EJ's dad is well known on the AAU circuit. He loves what Frame brings to the table at a Top tier D1 program.

Rick Mickens is the JV coach at Newington High. He is 4th or 5th on the all time scoring list at Central and led them to the NCAA Tournament after being named POY in the Northeast Conference.

It wasn't that long ago that HuskyWarrior checked in and wrote that JWF had been a Syracuse fan growing up, but did not have updated information about his recruitment.

I was looking at the competition.

I am somewhat new to mixtapes and not certain how much value they prove, especially pertaining to the next level. If they took a lot of my good plays when I was younger, this Board would be drooling, but the reality is it would take a few months to make a 3 minute tape.

Good to hear the positive eyewitness reports, which I still rely on more than the tapes.

b/w the New Rens games on youtube and the bits of South Shore games on there as well I like what I see. The size is obviously the most appealing but he gets into the lane and has great vision and passing insticts. Needs to improve his shooting mechanics but hopefully we'll have scorers and big men who can finish surrounding him.

Two tough NYC kids balling. Whitehead clearly giving Terrence and South Shore the smack down in every way tonight per your post. Samuel was coming off a very nice MVP showing however on 12/30 in the Slam Dunk Challenge Tournament against Peekskill where he put up nice #'s 16 pts, 5 rbs, 6 assts.

The last time South Shore and Lincoln played in Canarsie Bklyn (South Shore home game) an all out brawl broke out in the stands and it it carried over with fists flying on the court and excessive spitting. These teams literally hate each other. In that game Whitehead was leading Lincoln to victory when the game was called. Lincoln has had South Shores number recently. If I wasn't in CT right now I may have went out to Coney Island for the game.

On February 7, 2013 @ 5:00 PM is the rematch in Canarsie Bklyn between Lincoln and South Shore. The PSAL Brooklyn AA title could be on the line.

Aceboon if you want to go to that game let me know. We can eat at De Islands near South Shore High (I'm sure they are still in business). The food there is just off the hook. If you like Caribbean food and dishes like jerk chicken there is no better place than this no frills spot.

Jared is an excellent player. He has a fantastic jumper let alone just good. He has great strength and is fast. He just isn't quick. He can get up too. He loves basketball and is one of those guys who will work hard on his game and very competitive. But I'm sorry guys I didn't get a chance to ask him and haven't seen him much. But he is a Syracuse fan. And thanks for the love guys.

Tough for us his being a cuse fan. He grew up seeing Uconn win multiple championships so would hope some of this would rub off on the kid. Not saying it is too late obviously for us to make an impact esp. with KO.
