It’s UNREALPurdue's home whistle is diabolical
I have family near Lexington. When does Pope’s seat start getting warm? Getting whooped by a very meh LSU team to go to 10-7. For $22 million???

They are not making the tournament, and that’s a big problem.NOT so fast my friend!
1 point game with 5 to go!
But I agree with the overall sentiment. LSU isn't very good and has gotten smacked recently, now beating UK all game. Not a great look.
Was high on Pope, but this has been a weird, weird year for him and he's not able to recruit at the HS level at all. A demeanor that once seemed like it had the zen for that fanbase now seems wonky.I have family near Lexington.
His seat is boiling hot. And honestly it should be.
Crazy ending for the walk off UK win, basically the Thomas Davis ->Christian Laettner buzzer beater

There is an art to how you pay players, not disimilar to the pros. You pay the wrong guy, they can get fat and happy quick. When you set a precedent of a 22mm payroll, you're generally setting one where everyone is there for a payday and not the program. Pope got two frosh last year that should be returning, but none in this cycle so far. They have had some serious injury problems. Programs are going to have to figure out a way to protect themselves from pouring cash into guys who are kind of hurt but just don't want to play.
That is what I get for giving up on the game and switching to Ole Miss/Georgia, which did have an exciting ending. AJ Storr is inexplicably having a great game. What could have been with this guy.

Depends on the kid - clearly Boozer and AJD are working out just fine. And I though AJD was going to be a me first kinda kid. He's turned out to be a great team player. DP is another story, M Brown similar. These kids are treated like glass as it comes to injury and unreliable.I think you start by not signing projected NBA lottery picks. They are always going to have one eye on the draft and many won't play if they have a hangnail.
Creighton fans on the BoneYard stated McDermott wanted Pop Isaacs to play when he was medically cleared last year. But the story was Isaacs and his family/handlers held out with the purpose of being fully healthy for this year to maximize earnings. They have had some serious injury problems. Programs are going to have to figure out a way to protect themselves from pouring cash into guys who are kind of hurt but just don't want to play.

I tend to like how Hurley does it - go grab the right McD AA. That's usually not a top 5 kinda kid.
Yes, back, but I do wonder how severe some of these injuries are and how much of a rush these kids are to get back.DP is an odd case and I have no comment on his in and out stuff but Mikel Brown does seem to be really injured, no?
He also had Acadien Lewis locked up and then Lewis pulled out. He took both Jasper and Malachi Moreno instate. He hasn't been able to get anyone out of state is the issue.I think Pope basically had Caleb Wilson locked up. And for a while, it was said Mullins was a heavy lean to UK. But Pope took Jasper from in state instead.
