This team is putting it together. What’s encouraging is the growth of Silas, Mullins, and that we keep getting to massive leads in games.

The best coaching staff in America will hone the last pieces by March

We honestly haven't had a ton of aesthetically pleasing wins this year - these are mainly grinders. This is not 2024, that much I know. The Picasso that was is basically that team is more like grafitti this year.
True that.

Still, this is more to the Keith Haring graffiti school than junk. Just win.

ISU proved the fraudulent. They didn't even compete.
Nah, they're still very good. They were down by 26 in the first half and then got it down to 11 midway in the 2nd half before Kansas pulled away. Those kind of games on the road happen sometimes.

can't help himself, he's compelled to always get the last word.

Or put another way, the undefeated number #2 team couldn't even cut the margin to single digits. A minute or so after they cut it to 11, it was back up to 19. The last 8 minutes was essentially garbage time. I know that stuff happens but this says not-ready-for-primetime to me. But I think they catch a break playing Cincy next game.

By March, they will be a well oiled machine. They’re winning ugly but winning while coming together. Enjoy the improvement as it happens!

The '23 team beat one ranked team at this point and had 3 losses. The '26 team is 17-1 with wins over 5 ranked teams and a winnable loss to #1 without two starters.

The revisionist history is incredible
23 lost to a 2 seed and a 3 seed on the road. You are the incredible one

This isn't about effectiveness, it's about aesthetics man. Do you just love arguing?

I appreciate the winning first and foremost. No one is going to call this UConn team a beautiful watch though. They are 24th in the OKP. Perhaps they start clicking in a way that looks more appealing offensively soon. Hasn't happened yet. They have won with a grinding defense.
I think this team is a beautiful watch!

When does Pope’s seat start getting warm? Getting whooped by a very meh LSU team to go to 10-7. For $22 million???

I have family near Lexington.

His seat is boiling hot. And honestly it should be.

NOT so fast my friend!

1 point game with 5 to go!

But I agree with the overall sentiment. LSU isn't very good and has gotten smacked recently, now beating UK all game. Not a great look.

They are not making the tournament, and that’s a big problem.

And his recruiting is the worse they have ever seen. No recruits signed for next season.

LSU AD pretty much said it (without saying it) earlier today that McMahon had to make the tourney to keep his job, if he blows this one after that big lead their chances are probably done

Wowwwwwww

Kentucky down 2 with a few seconds left. Otega Oweh gets fouled, misses one! LSU gets the rebound, gets fouled, misses both! 1.6 seconds left, Kentucky throws a hail mary inbound, somehow catches it, BUZZER BEATER!

Was high on Pope, but this has been a weird, weird year for him and he's not able to recruit at the HS level at all. A demeanor that once seemed like it had the zen for that fanbase now seems wonky.

Crazy ending for the walk off UK win, basically the Thomas Davis ->Christian Laettner buzzer beater

That is what I get for giving up on the game and switching to Ole Miss/Georgia, which did have an exciting ending. AJ Storr is inexplicably having a great game. What could have been with this guy.

They have had some serious injury problems. Programs are going to have to figure out a way to protect themselves from pouring cash into guys who are kind of hurt but just don't want to play.
