Decent slate tonight with USC vs Mich, Mich State vs Nebraska, and Seattle vs Gonzaga.

Here’s to hoping Michigan only wins by 39 so RuffRuff comes down to earth. :). /s.

Sarcasm folks!

Can’t do smiley face so use your imagination.

I watched 1 Nebraska game this season. They're legit. Good chance they could finally win their first NCAA Tournament game this March.
First? Like ever?

I know Nebraska isn’t a powerhouse but it’s funny to hear a program like that being winless in the tourney if I’m reading that right.

I remember when we played Iowa State in the 2014 tournament. Hoeiberg runs a ton of great offensive sets.

For those of us without a life ;-) - a pretty good Friday night on Peacock tonight... among other games:
7pm - 24 USC v, 2 Michigan
9pm - 9 Mich St. v. 13 Nebraska

They stomped the hell out Creighton this year.

according to my AI generated google news feed from last night, "Nebraska defeats Michigan State 79-70."

I'm hoping they go undefeated so Hurley can beat them in the Final.

I'm going to be really curious as to whether anyone can give those guys a game.

Today's CBS Sports Power Rankings. They moved UConn up to #3 from #5. Moved Duke down from #3 to #11. This isn't like the AP Poll where there isn't a lot of movement from week to week. They rank them where they see them. Like a lot of us, they think the Huskies have another gear they just haven't gotten to yet.

3. UConn
Don't look now, but UConn is finding a groove and yet it still feels like it hasn't quite hit its stride. The Huskies have won nine-straight and are 13-1 after double-digit wins over Butler , DePaul and Xavier to open league play just before the New Year. Last week: 5

Top 5 look good, some of the rest iffy. Houston/BYU too low. I'd slip UConn in front of AZ as 2a, AZ 2b - ISU right behind. Then Purdue.

Looking forward to Mich St/Nebraska.
I will be curious with this game. We beat Mict State easily without Reed and Mullins and teams like Nebraska are always ranked higher than they deserve to be.

How is So Cal 12-1? They suck and are ranked #24. Michigan isnt impressive as they’ve won 2 games in OT and won a 3rd game by 4.
I watch teams like USC and their offensive sets are miles behind UConn's. Just hard to watch.

The best team they've played is Seton Hall and the refs decided that one. They lost their 20 ppg, 6 assists guy Rodney Rice for the season and they are missing another player. They probably would've been good with Rodney Rice and Arenas who has yet to play this season.

Crazy with UM is that none of these guys averaging over 30 minutes a game either - May really keeps his guys fresh and works the rotation, although benefitted by going up by so much early. I just saw 6 guys averaging between 19-27 minutes/game.

They're going to toy with most of the B10.

LOL just stop.

If you’re being honest, Michigan should scare the hell out of you.
Thank you. I know everyone is sick of me with them, but I honestly do it because the resistance to see how good they are is childish. You can be a UConn fan and recognize another team is really damn good. I don't like them, I don't route for them, would love to beat them - but they are really effen good. They are the team to beat. Hopefully we are the team to beat them.

Watching Mich/USC. USC looks like poo poo.
Gary Parrish called this today.

There are a lot of ways to illustrate just how awesome and overwhelming Michigan has been this season. Perhaps my favorite, on this second day of 2026, is to tell you that the Wolverines are playing Friday night against a Big Ten team that's 12-1 and ranked 24th in the Associated Press Top 25 poll -- and Michigan is a 22.5-point favorite in the game!

That's a massive number for a contest between ranked teams. And though one explanation for the big spread is that USC -- with zero wins over teams in the top 45 at KenPom.com and a loss to unranked Washington on the resume -- shouldn't actually be ranked 24th in the AP poll, truth is, this has more to do with Michigan being 12-0 with nine wins by at least 25 points.

They really don’t. Our defense is better. Reed can handle Lendeborg, our bench is 2x better than theirs. Let’s see what they do against Duke. I am more impressed with them.

Don't get me wrong, Michigan is an outstanding team and arguably the best team in America. But there is no way USC is even close to a top 25 team. They really haven't beaten anyone of note and their win over Seton Hall can arguable be traced to horrible officiating. Anxious to see Michigan later this month play Nebraska and Michigan State.

I agree totally. So not impressed with their schedule. They really have beaten no one.
