TCU crumbling. Up 9 and looking rattled facing pressure.

EDIT...up 6 with 1:30 to go

EDIT...up 3 with 37 ticks

15-3 KU run

Peterson not even playing at the end of the game and voila everyone starts playing way better.

This team would be so much better off without Peterson this season.

They're 2-3 when he plays and they are all games they're supposed to win. I'm not counting the Kansas win over Green Bay.

He's incredibly talented and scores with ease but they never any offensive rhythm as a team when he plays and the defense has gone to hell.
Agreed. He’s exhibit A for bringing back HS to NBA option.

This post aged well.

We don’t have a single player that would hit those three foul shots tho 😂

If KU hit that buzzer beater it would have been the worst collapse by a team that I’ve ever seen by TCU. Holy crap.

.-.
Somewhat understandable, but he also turned a program in the dumps, ala Syracuse right now, back into a top 20 team in like 1 year, so I think he knows a little. He was a really good mid-major coach as well. I'm sure he knows how to coach.

He's turned 3 different programs around or into winners.

I know he had, but that was brutal to watch tonight. Undisciplined with poor shot selection. Not the first time I've seen them do this and likely won't be the last.

Peterson got all of his like he always does and the team was awful like they always are when he plays. They turn it over when the other guard throws it to Peterson down the court but Peterson is telling Bill Self to take him out of the game and has his back to the ball. Peterson sitting on the bench with his thighs wrapped and the whole team plays a million times better. TCU turns it over once again to pressure and Peterson is magically healthy again and gets bailed out with an atrocious foul on a three point attempt by TCU. Peterson is hurt again so Kansas may win this in overtime.

No matter the outcome this game this is a disaster for Kansas this season and they would be way better off without Peterson on the team.

So you’re saying we beat the better version of Kansas?

What’s DNP’s “injury” supposed to be anyways? All I’m seeing is “persistent quad and hamstring tightness and cramping” but that sounds like pure bologna

.-.
Well, KU was down like 15 with 4 minutes to go last time I looked, I think it was 81-66, and now it’s in OT with KU about to win…so I don’t know what happened but TCU clammed up bad.

Now they’re hitting miracle shots in OT to come back when they could have just…won up 15!

Dang, KU was down 9 with 1:14 to go? I imagine there was some questionable calls from the refs at Phog.

Auburn lost again. Michigan’s second best win is Nova

IMHO, I didn’t think there were any homer calls. TCU was shooting over 65% for a while and then choked. I have read posts on FB saying Dixon lost the game when TCU was unraveling and didn’t call timeouts. I’m just glad that Kansas won especially after losing to UCF.

Yes. The team plays better when he doesn't play.
Earlier in the year he was getting tons of assists and made the whole team dramatically better. After he went out, Council stepped up and so did other guys. They aren't better without him, but he's not integrated into the team right now. He was, but this yo-yo in/out crap doesn't allow the chemistry they need. Last night he had one assist and 4 TO.

I was impressed with Council. Must be tough for Peterson’s teammates dealing with him but he was high scorer with 32.

A team can't function like this over the course of a season. I would like to see Self tell him and his people he either plays or he shuts it down for the season.

He is screwing his teammates over with his antics. He is suppressing their stats while not helping them win consistently.

The worst play by Peterson highlighting your point is when he requested to come out of game. His teammate threw a pass from the backcourt but Peterson didn’t see it since he was talking to the bench late in regulation.

  • Florida was 14th in KenPom when we beat them and 13th now. (They ended up winning that game last night by 15).
  • Illinois was 13th day of and 9th now.
  • BYU was 18th then and 10th now.
  • Kansas was 20th then and 17th now.
  • Texas from 50th to 53rd. But they're a lot worse in the NET (73rd), so that game is on the verge of falling to Q3.

If a top prospect doesn’t have an interest in playing college ball, that doesn’t strike me as a mark against him. The system forces him to go to Kansas or somewhere for a year. That’s not his goal. What fans think doesn’t change that

Why is it any colleges responsibility to pay for and prepare any kid for the NBA?

Who said it was? He's not allowed to go straight to the NBA. There are other options, but college is the one most prospects choose. Kansas made a bet that they could get something out of the deal. Most every other school would have done the same.

LOL just stop.

If you’re being honest, Michigan should scare the hell out of you.
Actually I came away feeling the same way about USC after that game. They were terribly soft. Got beat defensively very easily. Michigan was the better team by a mile, but for a 24 ranked team I expected more.
