Has to be considered a big loss for the Lady Vols. Like UConn can't afford to have any injuries.

Hope that her personal reasons aren't anything serious and she's just trying to sort some things out in her life.

Wasn't clear if she wasnt going to enroll at all, or was just not enrolling in the summer session.

I hope she is ok!

Wasn't she the one with the knee injury?

Very big loss for Tennessee. No way to spin that.

Tucker verbally committed to Tennessee in June of 2012 but reopened her commitment for a brief period during the fall. She eventually signed a letter of intent with UT during the fall signing period. Lockwood is unaware if another school is under consideration by Tucker.

I'm sure there will be much more about this coming out in the weeks to come. Yes she was the one who was injured. Given that she signed her LOI, I assume she would need to take a year off from hoops no matter where she goes...

I wonder if the reason for Jannah re-opening her recruitment came back or was never fully resolved. If she's healthy after her rehab, this is a big loss. She's a highly ranked big guard with a nice shot.

Once it seemed that she wasn't going to be a Husky, I predicted that she'd wind up at Maryland. I think that is very possible again.

I don't think so. Maryland never really recruited Tucker and perhaps we've seen why.

I do not believe UConn was a finalist.
Along with UT, her final choices were Penn State, West Virginia, Virginia and Villanova.

Thank you for the correction!

I predict that that she will end up at Penn State. Actually I predicted that over 6 months ago.

I was hoping she would be at PSU, also.

That would be a huge class at PSU. They already have 7 new freshmen. I'm sure if she chose PSU should would be able to crack the lineup but that's a young team then.

Also, it's 15 scholarship players right? They have 14 now.

Yes, they have 0ne scholarship available. I am not sure that they are now in a position to take Tucker if she chose to come. Unless possibly she still needs time to recover and would "red shirt."

okay Thank you! Also, if she were to red shirt would she need to sit out two years? or would that red shirt include the year she would need to miss for transferring?

I do not remember the penalties for students who never register after signing a LOI. In reality it would play out as one and the same year other than eligibility wise.

Akin to EDD, she would need to sit out one year.
Yes, is eligibility lost in sitting out or is it only the loss of one of her 5 years to complete 4 years of play.

Why would eligibility be lost?

It was for a short period of time, but EDD was at UConn so when she left it was a transfer. Tucker has yet to enroll at Tennessee so sitting out a year may not be necessary because she is not technically transferring. It would be akin to a student-athlete signing a national letter of intent and then the coach leaves, so they request to be released. Now UT has not changed the coach but the idea is the same.

She is bound to Tenn for this year. Unless TN releases her from her LOI, which I highly doubt they would do, she cannot play anywhere this year.
