Well USC is University of Southern California. South Carolina is ...South Carolina or S. Carolina or SC.

USC = the University of South Carolina. USC was founded long before California was even a state.

Yep it gets confusing for sure. Just like UT is Texas and Tenn or Lady Vols are Tennessee. But in fairness, while there are virtually ALL of the logos and picture material for Tennessee ONLY shows a capital "T", there are some South Carolina logos that show USC. Still, you are right.

USC = University of Southern Cal
SC = South Carolina
UT = Texas
Tenn = Tennessee
UT is also Toledo. And the other day, I was driving down I91 and spotted a car with a block T. Thought it was Tennessee, but it turned out to be Trinity College.

Nope. Didn't become University of South Carolina til 1865. California became a state in 1850

Give it up already. USC is the Trojans.

When was USC (Trojan version) established?

Looks like 1880. It's easy to find, just google "USC". University of Southern California comes right up. ;)

Well actually the school was founded earlier than 1865. Might not have been named a University until later. Either way... I live in NC and USC = Southern Cal.

South Carolina lost its seniority the day they bombarded Fort Sumter and seceded from our Union. (It doesn't help that you persist in flying that flag of a defeated and long defunct foreign nation.)

I live in Columbia, the city that sued the state to remove that old rag. This is a sports forum, though, not the political forum.

USC was founded in 1801 as South Carolina College.

To end the confusion, I propose:
USCY (Y'all)
USCG (Gnarly)

Can you figure out which is which?:)

Great pick up for Villanova. Not quite Tucker's style but a good coach and good program. Should be very good back-court with Adrianna Hahn coming in next year. I hope Ms. Tucker will be happy and successful closer to home.
I will be attending a few Villanova games next year just to see Jannah play.
