Rozier is out again today and Washington is questionable. If Washington ends up sitting, Mcdaniels makes #9 in the rotation and you would THINK Bouk would be next man up. If so, we maybe maybe see him get a few quality/non garbage time minutes today. Fingers crossed.

Do you realize him and Kobe are averaging about the same amount of playing time for their first 3 games? I don’t know what’s your obsession for him to have x amount of minutes. He has plenty of games left in his rookie contract. Porter Jr didn’t play his first year and just signed for $200m. Borrego is doing a great job w his rotation although you might be butt hurt that Bouks legacy is not going 100% now.
Porter played 17, 20, and 16 min his first 3 games as a rookie. Oh and he was the 30th pick. Not lottery. Also, Kobe was barely 18 when he joined the NBA and has still played more minutes at this point in his career than Bouk.

Oubre is better than Bouk on every level so why would they change the rotation? It’s working.

I’ve literally said multiple times what’s good for the Hornets is not best for James. Hornets have been crushing it. It’s at James’ expense.

Meanwhile, Cody Martin has 3 points in 17 min and a +/- of -20. Don’t have a problem with Oubre playing. Have a problem with Martin playing.

Bouknight is a good player, not a great one. In a reasonable system he would have stayed another year and developed physically as well as in his game. But in the dopey system the NBA has in place he got drafted.
As Chief said before the draft and was roundly criticized by our beloved Casual Fans. But, despite that system he would have benefited from staying in school both on and off the court. Having said that, he has a challenge and opportunuity with the Hornets. James needs to look at the game more wholistically, and focus on other aspects of the game, other than scoring. As Geirge Blaney use to say - do the small things right and the big things will follow. Off the court, he needs to take a professional approach, which isn’t always easy for a young guy from Brooklyn. Chief gets it, but that’s what the front office suits (you call dudes) and the basketball people are looking for. James, good luck and as always Chief has your back.

When Corey Floyd Jr gets no playing time early and he’s ruining his legacy after 4 games and should transfer, you guys should share that same energy. Playing time is earned especially when teams that have chemistry. Same goes for Bouknight.

You do realize than an NBA lottery pick and an 80th ranked recruit with kust about 0 expectations for PT this year are different right?

You keep making these arguments and every one of them is just really, really poorly constructed.

I don't even disagree with your overall points. It's just shocking how bad of a critical thinker you seem to be

My bad you’re right. He was coming off major injury though.

To sum up everyone's opinion we all agree with- It would he great if Bouk was playing so well he had already forced his way in to rotation and was playing meaningful minutes; it helps the UConn brand and help with recruiting new talent. That being said, a rookie, even a late lottery pick, not playing significantly one week in to his career, isn't a death sentence.

it’s hyperbole to make a point, problem is you take it serious and look into numbers and miss the point completely.I’m going to copy and paste Chin Diesel’s response to make it clear what we all were saying from the beginning.
