Very little video on this kid but he was both a Chill and Young recruit. #1 recruit in all of Massachusetts, #72 in the nation, originally from Brooklyn. Long, Athletic, Great on defense. Type of kid that Syracuse would recruit. Last 2 offers.... Minnesota and Uconn.

James Bouknight, MacDuffie School, Shooting Guard

Kid can get up. One quarter of the highlights are him sending it back in kids faces on D.

Are these games closed to scouts? Why was this video shot on a 1990s spycam hidden in a woman's purse?

Looks like he'd be a fun guy to watch so sign him up

Looks pretty awesome... another skinnny though... 6-5 190.

Sign me up! We haven't had a 6'4 combo guard who could handle the ball well in quite a while. I also like how's he's a New England kid, a URI/UConn recruit and the competition for him isn't fierce.

.-.
Good hops. Can go left or right. Good shot-blocking instincts it seems.

This looks like the kind of guy I expect Hurley to target. Needs to fill out and add some muscle, but versatile 6'5" guards who can play D, handle and shoot are exactly the kind of guy we need and have not been able to get.

I like the way this guy moves, his coordination is really smooth. He reminds me some of Jalen, this ease of movement, this athleticism.

Jalen wishes he could dribble to his left the way this kid does. He really has to work on that.

Elevator James fits perfectly with our new Jelly Fam recruits. UCONN about to take Jersey, NYC, and Mass over.

Kid is a great athlete, with good size, and excellent handle. Bouknight will rise up the rankings. Could very well be our next Jeremy Lamb.

Ironically, one of his big flaws mirrors Lamb’s. His motor. He goes silent for stretches despite his physical gifts.

If he's a teachable kid, that's a fixable flaw.

Odds of getting this kid have gone down.

I’d assume offers under the previous staff mean very little.
could go either way on that premise
Minnesota UConn Kansas State and Temple only big names in on this 2*
So we are ok with 2*s now? Just wondering............
I think there are bigger fish out there
Not saying that he will not develop.

Isn't verbal commits known for underrating kids/not updating their ratings? He's top 100 on all the other sites. 24/7 has him with almost a .97 composite

I don't know about their reputation but I have noticed that their ratings tend to me much more "conservative" than some of the others. I like them for the offer list. It seems to be more accurate than their ratings. I'm not sure how information gets reported to them for them to update. Anyway, though I am the first to admit that ratings for the top 50 with most of the services tend to be a decent indicator I think people put too much weight on stars and ratings when it comes to lower four star, three star and two star kids. If you look at their offer lists and see how what programs are involved it can give you a much better indication I think of the ability of the player.

Akok, Delaire, Nickelberry, Cockburn, Mitchell, Martin are all 2* on VC. I think you are right. I was under the assumption that they are not watching and ranking kids, just collecting data.

Kid elevated like Ryan. Anyone know his vertical.

Any stats on this kid. Love the kids hustle on d.

What I like most about him is that he has the footwork, foot speed and coordination of a 6 foot guard but he's 6'5. That's hard to find, even most top 6'5 high school guards have kind of slower feet and look kind of goofy while growing into their body.
