Yeah, I also see that Draftexpress has him as 1 and done for 2016. So what are our chances? Also no reason why we can't take both Gibbs and Murray.

Except that, assuming Murray is going to reclassify, I imagine they both expect to be the starting point guard.

He is more of a SG so i could see him being 6th man with Jalen starting

Murray is going to start wherever he goes and isn't getting scared off by anyone, he's one of the best players in the country.

I expect UConn to compare the '11 and '14 championship with Kemba/Bazz and Bazz/Boatright to whatever 2016 PG prospect they are looking to pick up as a way to project and prove the formula of UConn w/ 2 elite PGs = championships.

Looks like a lot of schools have offered him, seems no visitations yet. Which would mean we aren't late to the party. Linky

I just HOPE that he isn;t being actively recruited by VCU, UNLV, Providence, Marquette, Georgetown, or Maryland as we can;t seem to beat these schools in recruiting battles. ;):(

Don't forget NC St. :)

Dude can BALL. Heard he's heavily interested in UK though.

Absolutely love this kid's game. Would be great if we could ever land him

Hearing the same and also heard that Duke wanted him to reclassify to 2015, but they got their man Thornton to do so instead.

It will be tough to land Murray so I wouldn't get our hopes up on this one

If he's going to reclassify, he's not going to do so to spend time sharing a backcourt with Rodney Purvis, Jalen Adams, and potentially (fingers crossed) Gibbs. He'd rather beat nobody out, get national exposure like Justin Beiber, get drafted top 10, then never do anything in the NBA.

Well it sounds like we're not counting on Sterling Gibbs then?
Or we want him for 2016
So have we given up on S. Gibbs?
if we did I don't think you offer a top 10 guard as your backup plan (and one who would need to reclassify) if you truly are looking for a "back up" plan. That's my hope anyway and I remain optimistic that Sterling is coming.

That's a bit harsh, no? I recognize our tradition and history of success with producing NBA-caliber guards, but to suggest that we're the only school that can produce successful NBA players is a bit ridiculous.

VC is now out of the picture as a recruiting foe

I enjoy sarcasm a lot, but I agree it was a bit harsh. It was more of a low-blow to the Squid than glorification of our own school.
