Liking what I saw in his Instagram follows…seems like all the signs are pointing a certain way. Feel like he’d be a good balance to the class vs the others we’ve been linked to, despite the limited tape.

.-.
He’s somewhere between 6’4 and 6’7 and somewhere between a three star developmental prospect and a five star one and done player.
Yes, exactly.

Playing PG, CG, SG, or SF.

We think.

247 doesn’t have a page for Jacob Furphy. You’re probably looking at Johnny Furphy the Kansas player who was drafted this summer.

Real GM has updated stats from him this year and has him listed at 6’5.
6'4.5, he'll probably be listed at 6'10.

Great to hear Furphy could be joining the Huskies.

With Lewis still listing the Huskies in his final three (see article below from "a sea of blue") the UConn brand appears to be even bigger than we think...........
"The 6-foot-2 point guard is officially down to the Kentucky Wildcats, Duke Blue Devils, and UConn Huskies."

From SI, this article seems to state some of the the same things about UConn still recruiting Acaden Lewis, though it seems more assumption than any insider knowledge. I tend to believe more the Furphy reports than any of the others.

UConn Top-35 Target In 2025 Class Will Announce Decision November 2

Now Acaden is very different than Mullins or Adams, and is very similar (size, quickness and game) to Ahmad Nowell who will most likely get some PT this year and have a solid role next season.

As for Furphy, he's similar size, BBIQ and game as Cam Spencer. Now comparing him to other players that will be on next year's roster there seems some redundancy, but Hurley loves these 6-4+ versatile guards and can't seem to have too many.

With no one, including the coaching staff, knowing who might make the leap to the next level and who will return, it's hard to predict where the greatest needs will be.

He probably goes for who will best fit the system and be the more surefire cultural fit.

Kentucky spent a lot of money on their players, saw on Rupprafters it’s believed they offered Wilson 2+ million amd Jasper supposedly got well over a million

Furphy seems less likely to cause a fuss if his number isn't called.

NBA Global Academy Technical Director Marty Clarke on Furphy at 16 two years ago:

"What Jacob brings is an understanding of how to be a pro...what we usually have to teach here, he already has," referring to drive, maturity, polish, BB IQ, and team-oriented attitude.
