What? The basket was 12' away?

Never mind.

There is a deep conversation in that post somewhere.

There is.

At the end of it, I think we come out way ahead.

We came out ahead for sure, but Hinds was still impressive yesterday

It was a moral victory.
Actually, it wasn't. Two shots for the win, both air-balled.

Hinds looks like he'll be a player (heck, he already is one), but I'll take Boatright. His upside is tremendous, and he's already come up clutch twice in five games.

He is a very good looking player- great size- great skills. We would have been happy had he chose us- however like everyone else I'm happy with the Boat show.

The problem with West Virginia, its guards and I would say Bob Huggins, is that the wrong guy is constantly taking a shot.

They have Kevin Jones, who no one has been able to handle all year, and he doesn't get a single shot in overtime. In fact, he gets only two shot in the last 15 minutes of playing time and one of those, I think, came off of an offensive rebound.

First 30 minutes of the game...Jones is 13-19, 28 points. Last 15, 0-2, 0 points.

truck is the new scoop. put that rtard at the end of the bech for good huggy bear.

Wonder how many times as a kid Hinds did the ol' "and this is for the victory/tie" shot in the backyard? His buddies aren't going to let him forget this shot. Looked like he was trying to do a floater instead of actually shoot.

I agree on Truck Bryant - he thinks Truck first, second and third.

The last shot for Hinds was....awful.

He did a great job to get himself into position, but once he got to thinking about what he was trying to do, he tightened and short-armed that shot something fierce. There were a lot of thoughts running through that kid's head right then and almost all of them started with "oh, no!"

I was very impressed with Kevin Jones' hands yesterday. It seemed like if the ball was in his area he snatched it and displayed a soft touch when shooting. I didn't notice that about his game in years past.

He looks like a nice player. Plays hard on both ends. But Hinds not only came up a tad short on that jumper in OT but also missed the front end of the 1-and-1 that would have put the game away in regulation? I can't help but draw comparisons between Hinds coming up short on two critical late plays and Boatright nailing all 3 critical FTs against FSU to get that Game to OT, not to mention all the other late big time shot's he's made during his early UConn career such as that dagger 3 against Fairfield on Thursday.

Both are going to be among the best guards in the Big East, but I think we got the better of the two. I guess I should have sent Huggins a Christmas card for screwing up Ryan's recruitment, paving the way for him becoming a Husky.

Happy New Year.

It was a real shame that he missed & he did have a solid game but the ref really jobbed WVU at the end of regulation by calling an offensive foul on a WV player going for the rebound and getting a putback to out them up be 5 with <1 min left...Perry Jones is lighter than the WV player so got moved under the basket with the play but there was no push off and the call cost WVU the game

Hate it of course when certain calls effect the game and sometimes determine the outcome unless certainly if it favors us then we'll take it. Pope and Jones seem to be the most improved from last year at least so far . Both are seniors and want NBA careers.
