Natalie just missed 2 chippies. Gotta get over that. Shrug em off and stuff it down.

Baylor is playing tonight also. Hope to get a report from a Bears fan as to how they did, and how they look.

The BIG news ... Chong is not a PG and Geno is over asking her to be. No fooling. The frosh are pretty darn good. Natalie ... I'm hoping.

With a couple of minutes left, the good and the not-so-good
1. The usual suspects (what Geno's called "the core four": Kia, Gabby, Lou, and Pheesa played fine) and Saniya certainly was good as well.
2. The 3 freshmen handled themselves with exceptional poise. They all looked like they belonged out there.
3. Beat me to it, Rocky. And then there is Natalie. We all desperately want her to succeed, and she was aggressive and made a number of good plays. But there were also times when she just didn't show up. She needs to play more consistently her best game. Am I being too tough on her? Am I just remembering Stef's amazing final game in the NC and forgetting how long it took her to get there?

Butler 8 pts 9 rebs, not really bad, but she misses several easy shots
Surprisingly Kyla is really good

Surprising Kyla is really good
Kyla is someone a lot of us thought might show well early on. Very aggressive and yet very much within herself. She could get a lot of playing time even against the best teams.

Kyla looked a little awkward a few times, but she moved without the ball well and looked for the open player. She hustled and played smart. 12 points, including 4-5 on FTs, is a nice start.

Shooting stats:

FGs: 61.4% Very good

3pt: 29.4% Meh

FTs: 62.5% Meh
