People need to chill saying Lubin was top 50 that never happened lol. well atleast not by credible scouting services. Love him still, he's also seen as a top ten player in Georgia...Georgia has a bunch high d1 talent.

The same service that listed him top 50 listed Kahari Beuford around there too..... It was a long time before he got hurt. He might develop into a nice supporting player, but theres no reason to believe that he will rise in the rankings this year

Nah I didn't say that he could easily see a huge jump in rankings, especially if he dominates and wins.

No worries! Kasongo will be forgotten once he enters the Pac 12. Can anyone name a Oregon Player? We have a monster in Lubin, a potential superstar in Brimrah and don't forget the 2013 Gatorade National Player of the Year in Kentan Facey! These guys will be here a minimum 3 years! Don't worry everyone.....there is always another. It seems that we all thirst to recruit like Kentucky. But Calhoun cemented a recruiting philosophy of getting those players that have a chip on there shoulder and are willing to put themselves through extreme work to florish to their potential. It is so sweet to see a player come in as a unheralded freshman and turnout to be a first round pick after 2-3 years of dedication. We as UCONN fans appreciate that more than seeing a one and done like Drummond.

There is a reason...if he is fully healthy, he'll probably be a lot better than when he was hurt. He could blow up and be a man among boys. Maybe he'll just make steady progress. With his size and ability, he could be really good. Even if he takes time to fully develop, he could give us an inside presence and rebounder that we have a desperate need for.

Rakim the Dream is coming and will scare off those pretenders for the rebounds.

We got the guy who wants to be here. The guy who saw Ollie's first practice, saw how hard he would be pushed if he came here, and how little he would be promised. He saw that he would have to earn his playing time, and that Ollie would accept nothing less than ten toes in. And what did he do? He committed on the spot.

Dude benched 285 and is a complete rock. I would've loved Kasongo to come here and team up with Rock, but we'll be just fine with Rakim the Dream.

This sounds so much like when got Kevin Freeman. That's all I got to say.
Welcome Rakim!

Bottom line is this, Rakim Lubin and his family loved Kevin Ollie, Ricky Moore and the University of Connecticut. Whether he is or was a top 50, is a top 200 or whatever the Rock is, he is now ours, a kid who wanted to be HUSKY. There is nothing to argue about or wonder about other than this kid will come in physically ready, wanting to learn and grow from our staff and most of all, wants to put on the National Flag and Blue next to Daniel Hamilton and Rodney as our 1st 3 newcomers next year........'Nuff said guys and gals!!! We got the Rock.
