What's the most embarrassing and/or funniest moment you've had as a UConn/sports fan?

In like 1996, I helped start a message board that ultimately resulted in this thread.

My apologies to all.
So, it's all your fault I'm on this board daily, damn you!!!

My son and I met Scott Burrell after a Southern game and asked him to sign a Bulls Threepeat ball, which he graciously agreed to do. Only our Sharpie was on its last legs ugh lol. Scott was kind enough to go to his office to grab a fresh permanent Sharpie to sign the ball clearly.

What a coincidence. I met your wife on Prodigy too.
Too bad it didn't work out for you. She's a tough one who wouldn't put up with your delusions. Explains your hatred of women :p

This is so inside that I am stunned that it came from a guy with only 60 posts.
Meh, his sign up date is 2011. For anyone who frequented the board back in the glory days of Chief, him getting caught out in his lie and refusing to backtrack was legendary.

During our dark ages, I was a miserable person at games. Blame the alcohol, blame the refs, blame Ollie, blame the injuries, blame the AAC

It wasn't my fault

Thank you to you and the other OG’s who had the thought that enough people like us existed in the world, and that if you build it they will come……….

Uh don’t forget the guy who provided the server, Boneyard URL address and original Boneyard design elements during the transition to escape Hartford Courant message board disaster

Back to the original question, having my wife pretty much saving my life during the 2009 pre season tip off tourney final against Dook in MSG. It really is amazing I got out of there without handcuffs on or on a gurney.

It all started badly. We got halfway to New York from Bristol and realized we had left the tickets at home. We had time as it was the day after Thanksgiving and we left in the morning but it was still aggravating. By the time we got to the city I started drinking. That was at 2PM. Checked into our hotel. Went to a bar near MSG kept on drinking.

Then it was a bad game no flow thanks to the officials and I would say at this point that I kind of lost my mind. Some how she got me out of there in one piece. And we are still married.

Didn't that same fella create the voting machine back in the day?
