Your first post is this?
Yup, just a fact of life. Next year UConn will have a football team, that play the home games at the Rent, and a different head coach and there isn't anything most of us can do to change that. But yes, that's my first post.

Not as profound as you think or want to be.

People’s need to recalibrate their relationships with college football coaches. Take what they say with a grain of salt “ happy to be here blah blah blah”. Recognize they are here for a short duration and just hope they keep us competitive. The rest as they say is just noise

But yes, that's my first post.

I bet you think you are extremely clever.

Everyone crucified Edsall 1.0, and rightly so. Why is Mora getting a pass?
Not everyone. I am ambivalent about departure style points and grace notes expressed. I move on immediately and ask if the departure can give us lessons to learn and what the next hire -- who it is, how it is done, who had influence -- means for the future. In this case I am quite certain that UConn has decided it is not serious about being in a P4 because they know very well that to do that will require that they lose their basketball school identity and become a football school. The accretion equation does not work otherwise. But if the data show otherwise, I am open to changing my mind.
