2020 Recruiting: Ishmael El-Amin to transfer

Would have to sit one to play one unless the one time transfer rule happens

Would be a great story. But we need a more sure talent I believe. We need to win with Bouk next season, before he bounces

Agreed. If he had 2 years left then maybe, but for 1 year, I don’t see it.

I was surprised at how much I liked his hi-lites. I think he's an option but not a primary one given his lack of eligibility.

Taller, lighter, quicker and can jump better than Dad. Facial expressions give a hint who Dad is, can shoot the floater like Dad and has a good 3 Pt%, but Griffin sure looks like a better fit for what we need and for two years. Would be a great story though if he came here.

I can't tell if it's my UConn bias or not but I always thought Khalid should have stuck around the league. He played well for the Bulls his rookie season. Don't forget his Dad was a top recruit and a Mr. Basketball winner in High School.

Doesn't sound like a walk-on with that kind of interest...

Who said anything about walk on? He's not my first choice, but if we end up with him he'd be a solid guard option off the bench. A third PG would be a nice luxury.

Khalid played well. He should have stuck but he went overseas and he never tried that hard to come back. He was making big money and he couldn’t bring himself to take a pay cut to play in the NBA. He hoped he’d get a sizable offer based on his performance overseas. He wasn’t going to play in the CBA.

Guys who average 14 ppg on 40% three point shooting don't walk-on anywhere. I would be happy to have him.
Ball State was also a very good team. There’s no way people realize this based on the comments I’m seeing. Kenpom had them 116th overall and 37th in Defensive Efficiency. El-Amin led them in minutes playing the 2/3. He must be a solid defender.
