Exactly, our frontcourt is set and stacked. Some more shooting and we are all set, loaded.Incredible news.
That shores up our front court big time. Hurley and staff can zero in on shooting/scoring now.
This is awesome, Whaley with crowds gives me a massive superjohn.

Great news, does this take us out of the running for Yetna?

Looks like he won't be coming then, because I refuse.I'm hearing that he is holding out unless and and until every adopts "DaggerTreyTy" as his name.
Shady Whaley.
So far the transfers make sense.
- BA got no pt. Leaving makes sense.
- Carlton also got very little pt
- Whaley got lots of pt. Fits into Dan Hurley system well.
- Polley is a bit more gray. Gets minutes most games. If he hits shots he'll get more. If he doesn't hit shots he gets less.
The thing that's not happening is what I suspected would happen. I thought some would just ship off to Europe or wherever. So far everyone is sticking with "amateur" basketball.
I guess I'm not that in tune to the non NBA leagues. I didn't realize they were not playing. Are they not playing? I think soccer is happening. Are the Euro leagues even going to play? I think there is much up in the air that may factor in those decisions. Really prefer to move on from Polley. I wish him well, but he's a liability in too many areas of the game.
i agree but dont see why polley would want to return as the 3rd string SF and 3rd string PFBest front court in the Big East locked up. Now imagine if he shoots 3s on good volume...
Locke is the final piece, get him and another bench shooter(hopefully Polley), and this should be a top 15 team.
i wish he were good enough to be our starting SF but he's just not that guy. already looking like we're going to have the same problem as last year given the lack of shooting in the frontcourt:His other options probably aren't very enticing. I also don't think it's a given he'd be third string, especially considering how badly we need shooting.
That's always nice to have and Bouknight will be missed but I have a feeling we'll have more go to options and the defense should be filthy.Agree that the overall talent level might be higher. I still think, beyond shooting, that the absence of a guy who can manufacture buckets is cause for concern. Maybe Hawkins is ahead of schedule in that regard, but I don't think he'll be at freshman year Bouknight's level.
Which, in turn, gets a rise out of @superjohnWhaley FEEDS off of fan energy.

That's awesome.
You continue to contradict yourself and dig a deeper hole. You can’t say “we’ll be far more talented than we were this year” but also say the guy leaving is a high lottery pick. Yet you identify no one to replace the departing go to offensive talent. It makes no sense. What are you missing? I can't even begin to tackle that question.
As for "all the headaches" I was referring to it being the year of Covid, Bouknight's injury, Jackson's injuries, Akok basically having a red shirt year, the end of season timing of Bouknight being carried off the court for an IV, and Cole breaking his face.
You either can't read or you were just being your typical self by saying I called Bouknight a "headache." You're somehow even worse since your return from your latest tantrum/meltdown.
So I see you're just going to gloss over/still pretend I called Bouknight a headache. I don't want you to have another nervous breakdown and threaten lawsuits so I'll ease up...You continue to contradict yourself and dig a deeper hole. It was Cole, Jackson, Martin, and Sanogo's first time playing together. Jackson was hurt during preseason and the season which greatly hurt his development and chemistry. Akok basically had a redshirt year. We're adding the 46th, 49th, and 70th ranked recruits in the country. We'll most likely be adding one more shooter. And the most important thing is players don't tend to stay stagnant, they improve from season to season. Hurley is building something and the team will continue to be more in his image.
Bottom-line you said we have more talent than last season, which contradicts your view that Bouknight will go high lottery. What high lottery guy is coming in or developing with high confidence? No wonder you lose bets so often you can’t make good.So I see you're just going to gloss over/still pretend I called Bouknight a headache. I am sorry but your friend made some accusations about me that were untrue, so I had to respond. Can we not ruin this thread about a beloved Husky coming back....
